I was wondering the same thing. George County hasn't won a playoff game since 07 but all of a sudden they're this powerhouse team? I'd say both teams have a ton to prove this Friday before anyone takes them seriously

Play defense like they've been playing but eliminate the turnovers. The turnovers have really kept other teams in games with GC and I'm talking like multiple turnovers. I think against Hattiesburg they turned it over around 5 times and the same can be said for the Wayne Co. game. Wayne Co's only TD in regulation was a pick 6, Biloxi won by three scores and all three scores were special team miscues on punt (bad snap and a block) and another pick 6 by the offense. Otherwise GC wins the game 14-13 with their 3rd string QB. Defense has been dang near close to lights out. The turnovers have put them in bad spots and there's even been a few KO returns for TDs on them this year. Bottom line: Continue stellar defensive play. Eliminate turnovers. Continue to run the ball and don't get fancy/cute. Take advantage of the superior athletes and speed and let them play. GC can win this game convincingly IF they do these things. Just got to do them. The coaches have done a good job with the gameplans. I think it boils down the players holding onto the football.

No other teams has the raw athletes and the incredible coaching staff that enterprise has. I'm willing to bet they win all 7 state championships, the national championship on all the college levels, and win the superbowl. Heck the might even with the world series!

Fair point BUT the last time Hancock beat GC was 9-7 in 1993. So in all reality GC has been the better program when compared to Hancock so it's not out of the question to say this is a legit measuring stick for Hancock. Based on GC's schedule and Hancock's I'd think it's pretty easy to say which one has been tougher and it's pretty easy to think that Hancock might not have beaten WC with their 3rd string QB like GC did. People forget that and GC is good on defense. Should be a good game.

Yea… trying to compare the two teams in this scenario isn’t very smart. Meridian played OG close last year and OG still beat Brandon. We’re a lot like USC style wise. Score at will on offense and thankfully the defense has gotten just enough stops when it matters. It’ll probably have to continue to be that way.
