  1. Past hour
  2. Some MAIS schools have 11 week schedules and playing 9 games. It doesn't make sense to give up a home gate when money is tight enough for many.
  3. Capital Sports Ms will release schedules when 2 Delta schools hire a coach abd 3 Delta Schools sense in their schedule.
  4. They should be an easy 2A after multiplier. Heard Tupelo had a kid ruled ineligible for recruiting him.
  5. Yesterday
  6. When you say large schools in the south, who are you referring to? The only real large schools in the MAIS are in the Jackson area with Jackson Prep Jackson Academy MRA and Hartfield.
  7. The picture they keep using for the league is a map of all gulf states including Mississippi. The MAIS was very close to merging with AISA just a few years ago. They even came together and created the SECIS along with the GISA. If all the large private schools in the south get together and create an association it could shift the system entirely.
  8. Definitely, with the multiplier the private schools won't have to travel as much as what they currently do.
  9. Might not be 1A after the 1.5 multiplier
  10. If St Stanislaus and OLA go to 4A then travel will be very local until playoffs. I don't see travel other than to Tylertown in 3A bring further.
  11. I would agree. On paper, 7 teams are chasing probably 4 slots. At least IMHO. The problem for those 7 teams is that there are a lot of capable teams 8-16 that can wreck their season with an extra loss. It is hard to see any one team finishing with more than 10 wins. 11-1 is going to be very difficult if not impossible. Plus the fact that those 7 teams will beat up on each other in the games they play within themselves.
  12. Last year it was 5 and I don’t think it’ll be 5 again. Not with everybody playing an extra conference game this year.
  13. I could see some of the south Mississippi teams moving to this. Heck depending on how many schools they have it could be less travel even to Florida
  14. They are pretty dang good in baseball. They are 1a
  15. I would think not. Why would it? I mean Louisiana and Arkansas schools are already playing in the MAIS so thats pretty much the same thing that Florida and Alabama are doing sounds like
  16. Gotcha. First time I heard of it.
  17. Alabama and Florida panhandle schools are launching a new organization the Gulf States Independent Athletic Association. You guys think this will impact Mississippi independent schools or the MAIS?
  18. All the questions answered about Tailgating, reserved seating and reserved parking and much more. Tune into Big Kal Media on Facebook on July 30 th at 6:00cebook
  19. Tupelo Christian Prep School
  20. Question. Who/what is TCPS?
