I was coming on to ask if someone should be fired for the end of the NC State game. Doesn't help when teams can't go under center at all, which if I was going to complain about anything, I thought was a problem for MSU last week against their own goal line.
-
I think every one still has PTSD from DeSean Jackson’s punt return. Even though it’s your best bet in that situation
-
Absolutely not. Not happening. You may one day see Taylorsville split two ways into mize and Raleigh, but county consolidation is not happening anytime soon.
-
There are about half a dozen options you can do in that situation where they win and it’s stress free. They picked the stupid dumbest option imaginable.
-
Why not just go down immediately!!!! Could you imagine how a gambler will feel if that play kept him from winning on a parlay. LOLOLOL
-
State game delayed by weather. NC State just lost to Vandy in one of the stupidest ways you can possibly lose a football game. I cannot believe how that game ended.
-
LSU is the better team. But the difference lies in who’s commanding the offense. Trinidad wins games, Sam Leavitt loses games. I think Kiffin will win the chess match and OM’s OL should struggle. But because they have Kewan and Trinidad they can compensate for that. In a big game I’ll always roll with Trinidad, Rebels 35 - LSU 28 I think Gus Malzahn had a legacy game last year against Bama (as always against bama). Hate he retired I enjoyed watching his offenses through the years. Anyways, I got Bama rolling through the noles while establishing the run game 42-17 UF - Auburn. Said this about 2 weeks ago. I like both hires. Florida’s is in a much better spot from a roster standpoint and could upset someone this year. I’ll take Florida 21-17 This game for state really tells us how good this team is. Lebby’s vision is happening before our eyes. Nightmarish speed on the perimeter. A bowling ball coming down the middle in Fluff Bothwell. A QB that was built in a lab 30 minutes from Starkville. Our OL finally looks like a physically imposing MS State line that we’re used too. Obviously we’re not world beaters, but I thought last week was the best looking state team in years. SCAR has dudes and could match us in a track meet. I think this will be a shootout determined by which QB turns the ball over, I’ll take State 45-42
-
It’s a valid point. Warren County did it in 1965 and back then it was 1st thru 12th grade public academies and they did it way back then.
-
You going to make Chunky mad
-
Just consolidate Mize, Raleigh, and Taylorsville into Smith County and make the 1A, 2A, and 3A irrelevant. Makes sense to me. Heck if Warren County could do it in the 1960s, surely Smith County can do it in 2026.
-
Now I am hearing Raleigh is still 3A. Tville supposedly had higher numbers than expected and will be a bigger 1A
-
thats right dub . He throws a pretty good deep ball but he was late on the underneath. IDK if they are limited with what he could do but all the deep stuff was wife open. It’s like Petal knew all the short passes were coming.. Fat Brandon will take the air out of the ball and grind Petals defense down to a nub. So no they are not the favorite. Oak Grove and Brandon will beat them. Twice if tvey have to.
-
As a State fan it has been funny to see all the State fan takes on LSU mostly being “yeah they’re good but Sam Leavitt stinks”. That man threw 3 interceptions against a Coleman Hutzler defense, you don’t forget things like that. lol.
-
I watched Gulfport thoroughly last night for the first time this year. Petal outplayed them for the better part of 3 quarters. And those turnovers weren’t flukes, the QB just isn’t that good of a passer and it showed. They aren’t better than Oak Grove or Brandon.

Cool Heads Soft Points Review with Slick and Bo for Sept 7
BoKnows08 replied to slicklizard's topic in Football
Tupelo just put the state of Mississippi on notice! They completely dismantled a very good well coached Oxford team. I have been super critical of Tupelo’s lack of production compared to talent accumulated. Last night they put it together. They could have played with anyone, anywhere last night nationwide. Also, hats off to Petal. -
Gport had 5 turnovers and still put up 39pts. Thats almost unheard of
-
No it’s still Gulfport. They will have home field through the playoffs after winning region 4. Petal could not beat them anywhere but on their own field.
-
Has Petal become the favorite in south 7a? One thing going for them when region play starts is the get both Oak Grove and Brandon st home
-
I hear you man. Rioley , byhalia and rosa fort all had lower figures than mooreville last time and all 3 have lower figures currently. Is it possible that all 4 schools mentioned here could drop to 3A? If so, that would a shift of large proportion.

I heard that Heidelberg turned in 3A numbers and that Raleigh turned in 2A numbers.
-
Scott central wins 20-9 over Newton County. Newton County had a player leave in an ambulance, I believe I read it was due to a broken tibia. Don’t know for sure if that was the injury or not. Prayers for him.

Enterprise 42 North Forrest 21 Final

I told everybody they suck. I knew they did. WJ coaches should have that team run a lap around the track every day for every point west lost by (14) plus an extra for every point Laurel gets beat by the week for the rest of the year. Yes I’m still very much salty. If I could figure out how to post the Dennis green “they are who we thought they were” meme I would.
