State snaps the 7 game losing streak. Still likely headed toward 2-10. I have nothing else to add lol. Kudos to beating UMass worse than Dan Mullen did maybe? Lol

What’s happening early on to A&M is why I was glad Ole Miss played USC during the day and not at night. Not sure how this ends but right now it has that 2022 Tennessee/USC vibe where USC couldn’t do anything wrong and put a beat down on a #6 Tennessee team.

Iowa State takes a much deserved L, K State lost and Clemson probably losing, A&M and Tennessee down at the moment.   These teams losing are all good news for OM.

Woody playing Will tonight in a competitive game. Washington up 26-21 in the 4th quarter. 
Know it must seem strange to those two to be on opposite sides of the field. 
 

Kentucky is very much a Jekyll-Hyde team. Beat Ole Miss and lose to Georgia by 1 but turn around and look like crap at Florida. Tonight playing competitive against Tennessee at least to this point.

Gotta beat Georgia for it to matter though. But if they do beat Georgia, they’re in great shape.

Right.  Which UGA teams shows up.  Today’s Georgia would get beat.  The Georgia that beat Texas looks like the best team in the SEC.

A team that was helped out a lot by the Iowa St and Kansas St losses is Colorado. They now sit tied at 2nd with Iowa St and has a favorable rest of the schedule. They very well could be playing BYU in Big 12 championship with a playoff spot on the line.

Another team that’s kinda being overlooked in the playoff discussion is SMU. 8-1 with the only loss being BYU and smoked an undefeated Pitt last night. With Clemson losing yesterday we could be headed toward 12-0 Miami vs 11-1 SMU in the ACC title game, and if SMU wins I think the ACC gets two spots.

Mullen also inherited a very talented roster (except at QB) and a defense that had a number of NFL players on it. And if we are comparing first year coaches, Mullen’s 2009 team  should have been 7-5 except his inexperience cost us a couple of games (HOU & LSU). 
 

Lebby inherited a gutted roster and on defense has had to try to make lemonade without any lemons (or at best a few). 
 

On similar notes the 2024 team is playing with similar effort/energy as the 2009 team did. 
 

My wife and I went to the UMASS game at Gillette Stadium in 2016 (a 47-35 State win). They don’t have a lot of talent but they are well coached and play hard. 
 

Now going forward Lebby will have to correct our defensive woes. I think we all know the offense will be good but we will see how we develop on the other side of the LOS. And that will tell the tale.

We were there too, there were maybe 5,000 people total at that game but both of us were there lol. Weird experience sitting at midfield of an NFL stadium for like $20 a ticket.
