Dawg83
Sunday should be two fantastic games with Bills/Bengals and Cowboys/49ers back to back. Saturday is one of those eh we’ll see kind of days. I don’t like the Jags’ chances at Arrowhead, would be one of the more surprising Playoff upsets in recent memory. Just think the Chiefs are way more experienced and Mahomes is too good at home. I’ve changed my tune a little on Eagles/Giants, I think that’s a close game and could even see NYG winning. Divisional opponents that will be playing each other for the third time, and I could see the Eagles coming out flat after the bye.
rebmus
A couple of thoughts: 1. I think chances are VERY SLIM, but if the Jags and Giants meet in the Super Bowl... some folks betting on the darkhorses will make a lot of money. 2. Not long ago, the NFC East had a division winner with a losing record. Now the NFC East has 3 of the 4 remaining NFC teams left in the playoffs. Dawg83
Jags had a chance today but had some backbreaking turnovers late. Kinda what I expected, KC looked like the team that’s been there before, even when Mahomes was out injured for a little while. Eagles blew out the Giants, not a whole lot to say. Tomorrow’s two games are the really big ones of the weekend.
Bulldogs4
Cincy with the hot start up 14-zip early. Can Buffalo recover?
Bulldogs4
CVG looked impressive. Sets up a colossal match up with KC next week. Momentum favors CVG but KC is still no pushover.
Dawg83
Bengals dominated the Bills, did not see that coming. They were super impressive. Rematch of last year’s AFC title game at Arrowhead next week
rebmus
49ers keep rolling with Purdy at QB. Dak looked great last week, not so much tonight.
Bulldogs4
Disappointing night for Dak. Two costly turnovers were the difference in the game.
rebmus
The offseason will be kind for Purdy.

Would you really expect something different? I think they won last week on accident.
Dawg83
So it’s Bengals-Chiefs and Eagles-49ers in the conference title games. Be curious to know what some of you guys are expecting, I genuinely have no clue on either. I feel like all four teams are viable threats to win the Super Bowl and these were probably the four best teams in the NFL for the duration of the season (Buffalo was definitely in the conversation too). Cincy and San Fran haven’t lost a game since October, and KC and Philly tied for the best record in the NFL.

I like the 49ers with the underdog status, but I think the eagles will be too much for them. I would also like to see Bengals make it back to the super bowl. I think the bengals are the more talented out of the 4 teams
maroontide06
I think the main question in regards to the AFC is, "Will Joe Burrow take advantage of an injured Patrick Mahomes?" If they can do that then look out because they may win it all.

I'm leaning SF wins the NFC, should be a great game.
pancho
2 best defenses are cincy and the 9ers so I'm picking them

If it's not bothering him, then it will probably be a toss up like you said. I really don't have a clue on the NFC side, but I can see where the 49ers would have the hot hand though. It's all going to depend on which Eagles team shows up.
Dawg83
As we sit here today, my gut says we get a Bengals-49ers Super Bowl. But any combination of the four wouldn’t surprise me. I’ve been high on the Niners all year so I’m gonna stick with my guns there. Bengals really impressed me in Buffalo, I truthfully had the Bills winning it all, and Cincy just hammered them on the road.
rebmus
I don't really care who wins the SB at this point, but will say... IF it's 49ers vs Bengals, it brings back memories. The first SB I recall watching as a kid was 1982... 49ers vs Bengals. Like 83, I've been high on the 49ers all year and will stick with that pick. Of the four teams left, my guess is Cincy will be the sentimental favorite for most just because they’ve never won a SB. I’d say the Chiefs have the most pressure of any of these teams. They’ve had this unbelievable run with Mahomes since 2018, and are hosting the AFC title game for the 5th year in a row. They’ve only got the one Lombardi trophy to show for it though, which is a little surprising. And now the Bengals look like they could really have staying power too with their young nucleus. MSTSatchmo
Wow. Hosting 5 years in a row is impressive. If KC doesn’t win, there will be questions asked about why they can’t finish. I like the Bengals to win though. I believe they have the better defense. Should be a classic. Philadelphia added a bunch of off-season players to make this run and it’s worked out. I think they win a close one. Then the Niners have to figure out what to do at QB next season. Lol They are paying $15m for 2 QBs to watch this year while Purdy makes $800k and has gone undefeated so far. Crazy.
Dawg83
Worth mentioning with Philly that Jalen Hurts has had an amazing year and was maybe the most improved player in the NFL. Granted, it helps to have the pass catchers that he has. And a good defense. I really don’t know that you could ask for two better matchups, all things considered. I think I’ll probably find myself rooting for an Eagles-Bengals Super Bowl.
Bulldogs4
Forty-niners self destructed with the penalties and turnovers. And you knew eventually the QB situation was going to eventually catch up to them. And it did. Plus the Eagles have no weaknesses.
Bulldogs4
and then SF changed from the 49ers to the Thug-Niners. Low class players and pretty pathetic on their part.
