RUNNINGMAN67
I firmly believe that Picayune is on it's way to an unprecedented run of success under the leadership of Cody Stogner. I firmly believe they will run the table this year and possibly again next year. He truly is a legend in Pearl River County. I'm not from Yune, but a lot of my family resides in Pearl River County and they are all excited about what is going own at PMHS.
Tiburon
I am excited too. I like Cody a lot and have a ton of respect for what he is doing here and what he has already done. And time may prove you right, but it's way too early to be talking about dynasties, imho. I know a lot of people who thought we were going undefeated in 2012. That sort of thinking gets you beat. I don't care if we lose some games this year along the way if those losses make us stronger - if we make the playoffs and win our last game I will be satisfied. CrimsonUnit1988
I get it. But don't you think it has a little bit to do with having TWO D1 Tailbacks? Maybe? I mean he did inherit some really good players. I think not enough is said about that. What happens when those guys leave will really be able to tell.
Tiburon
the sophomore class that came in with his 2nd season (last year) was amazing. no doubt.
JagsFan77
I think part of it is recognizing the talent you have and utilizing it. I've seen guys playing on the O Line that were the fastest kid on the team. A kid at 205 that would be an awesome running back, but is stuck on the line because the coach looks at body type rather than ability. I get it, not every team has 10 guys over 230.. but don't just stick a kid in a position based on body type. I wonder how many talented kids never realize their potential because of this. maroontide06
Hey @RUNNINGMAN67, do you mind renaming your thread to the Dodd Lee Legacy or something like that? I feel like that would honestly make more sense to folks since Stogner is enjoying the fruits of the seeds that Dodd Lee planted. I just don't see how Cody would have been able to do what he has done all on his own and it's perfectly ok if you don't agree with me.
