Sharper Posted September 26, 2024 Share Posted September 26, 2024 A few of the private schools in Mississippi (they are Desoto Christian in Olive Branch, Starkville Christian, Grace Christian in Louisville, Russell Christian in Meridian, and Victory Christian in Columbus) aren't in the MAIS. I wonder why is that and it does tie in to football since two of them (Russell Christian and Victory Christian) do play the 8-man game and thus would be perfect for the MAIS 8-man league. It may have to do with school accreditation for academics. Not for sure. Russell used to be in the MAIS and played in the 8 man league with around 50 players on the team.
