Quitman would thrive in the wing-t this year.

I agree because a good wing t offense is hard to stop, but I don't the players would be on board with running that kind of offense when all they have ever ran is spread. I don't think the community would like wing t either

Traditionally they have not done a whole lot of high level winning. If I were them I would totally welcome it, but I may be one of the few.

A good coach doesn’t give a crap what the players or fans want to run. Raleigh fans and bay springs fans have complained about it for years, even though they never won a championship until somebody came in and installed it. Bay springs fans are celebrating because they finally are about to start back running the spread. Ungrateful

Once again, I'm not disagreeing that the wing t wouldn't work at Quitman. If ran correctly, the wing t would work at most schools in Mississippi, but some jobs are more political and running the wrong system will get a coach fired. It makes no sense at all, but it's the world we live in

Nothing against the wing t.  There are a lot of schools that need to run the wing t and a lot of schools that can run the wing t successfully.  I don't know how well Quitman's OL can adapt to the wing t at this moment.  With a team that has a chance to compete in 4a that may be a drastic change for them.

The beauty of the wing t is that it can be ran at a very high level with a not so great OL. Look at the line JDC has had in their  last few championships. Very young, inexperienced, and undersized

Undersized but athletic.  I am just going off a few clips but they didn't pull very much.

The wing-t is probably the best offense for an offensive line that’s not that great.

They look like they were heavy zone and BoB.  They ran the ball for a billion yards last year out of a heavy set, it seems.  However they didn't look like they moved around well enough to run bucks and counters.  To me the best wing t teams are the ones with small but fast offensive lines, who can get around.  That wasn't quitman OL last year

They need to beef up their schedule some, IMO. They did play meridian, but meridian is not what meridian once was

I have been hearing the same as of late

Until he signs a contract with someone, I won't believe anything because every job that has been posted has had Teddy Dyess listed as getting the job.  I have nothing against him, but it is getting a little ridiculous on this board with his name being thrown out there constantly.   I think Quitman should hire him.

He is notorious for applying for every job that comes open in the state. He has done that for years.
