I’m not saying Bo Russum isn’t a candidate, but I would be a little surprised if he applied for the job. I figured he is waiting to take the Columbia job when it comes open. Never know I guess.

I have heard of a handful of candidates that have applied. And none of them are names like teddy dyess. I don’t think he has applied, and I don’t think Bo russum has applied, but I could be wrong

I would imagine Bo would most likely have to take a pay cut to come to Tville from Columbia.

I don't see Bo leaving Columbia considering he very well could inherit that job when Bliderback leaves/retires. I'm willing to bet that he would take $8,000-$10,000 pay cut and teach more classes if he left for Tville

I don’t think this job pays well enough for a coach to come out of the retirement system.  I don’t see Smith County paying a 49% deal either.  A veteran guy knows this and doesn’t waste his time.

I had heard they were going to offer the job to their former QB Dominique Sullivan, who is currently coaching at Southwest CC. I do not know if they did, but even if they did I do not think he would leave southwest to take the job. I have heard of several names that have applied, and teddy Dyess and Bo Russum were not names that were listed.

It would have made sense for them to go after Sullivan, but I don't see him leaving a juco for a small high school. What all names have you heard applied, and who do you think the lead candidates are?

I am anxious to see who they hire there. The school itself is declining in numbers. Not much industry in Tville anymore so you have seen a good number of people move off from there.

The industry is still there. The ones who once owned it don't anymore. They quit bringing in athletes from outside and providing homes for their parents and jobs. Industry had changed. Kids go off to school now and don't return to smaller communities anymore. See JDC situation. A bad sorry no good for nothing principle ran off a number of students about 10 years ago. The situation is better now. That crooked superintendent  is a threat. Who ever gets the job will be his buddy.

Towns go as the schools go in general. Hopefully the school can right itself. There has been a drastic change there in the last four years or so.

I have heard of about 8 different names that have called about the job. I think there were 3 names that I know, the rest I do not know. One of the coaches already on staff applied, and I know there’s another local from Tville that applied that is an assistant somewhere else right now. The other names I will not name because they may not want it known that they applied but I will say that I have not heard of any, I guess what you would call “big name” candidates that have applied. Teddy Dyess and Bo Russum would be some bigger names, but I just don’t know if I believe they have actually applied. I guess we will see. The principle is supposed to be the one who will make the hire, and not the superintendent.

Just heard another name that’s gaining some steam. I won’t say it right now though. It would be interesting, I will say that. I don’t know how well it would be received in the community.

Principal always makes recommendations  for teachers and coaches. If Superintendent got some buddies to apply then maybe he influences the Principal to choose that buddy.

That never home and job stuff never happened.  The rest is pretty right.

Taylorsville people gone now.  These outsiders are trashy sorry people.  Super and board is a bunch of bums.  Had more teachers quit this year. Good ones too.

Sad to see how it has declined some. At one point was probably the best school in the county.

Thats not what I have heard, but if the superintendent lets the principal decide then it may stay in house. I had heard the superintendent prefers someone else.

How does his name even come up in head coaching searches anymore? I'm a firm believer that everyone messes up and deserves a second chance, but how many second chances can one person get?
