Completely different situation. Oh I know, I was trying to have some fun. But seriously though, Mike Leach started coaching his dad’s baseball team when he was just a little feller. Point being a good coach can coach just about any sport as long as they can motivate and get the best out of their players. Maybe this guy just has the intangibles to get it done. Now that I know they aren’t promoting from within, it’s SUPPOSED to be an out of county guy, who is familiar with DeSoto County (former DeSoto County coach). I don't think all of Boyles' assistants at Meridian would leave for Petal. This is high school football and some of that wouldn't be feasible.
