Dawg83
For the most part the games this Week aren’t quite as interesting as Week 1, but there are some interesting ones still, including a huge one in Starkville. NC State is a good team that could end up being one of the best in the ACC. I’m not a huge Dave Doeren fan (OM fans might remember him from their 2017 coaching search) but he’s got an older group with talent, and this could be his best team to date. State’s issues from Week 1 are well documented at this point. Can they fix them in time to beat a good team? I lean toward no. I actually do think this is a decent matchup for State’s defense, and I expect a close, fairly low scoring game. But I’ll take the Wolfpack to win, 24-17. State CAN win this game, though. But it will require a major improvement from Week 1. I think they’ll play better, but not sure it will be enough to win. Not much to say about Ole Miss-Austin Peay. It’s a ranked SEC team versus an FCS opponent. Should not be close. The main thing is avoiding injuries. There are a few other semi-interesting games that could be worth monitoring. Mizzou-Kentucky is the first conference game of the season, UK looked like a dangerous team in their first game, I’ll take them to win at home. Arkansas-Texas is a fun nonconference matchup, should be a great atmosphere in Fayetteville. I’ll take Texas to win but won’t be shocked if Arkansas gets a big home win. Pitt-Tennessee in Knoxville sounds like an ugly low scoring game waiting to happen. I’ll take Pitt to win. A&M-Colorado in Denver could be a game for a while, but I expect an Aggie win. Biggest national games are Oregon-Ohio State and Iowa-Iowa State. Both Iowa teams are currently in the Top 10, believe it or not. I’ll take Ohio State and Iowa in those games. I think Iowa is a potential playoff dark horse if they can win this week. I like their schedule the rest of the way. Thoughts?
msaisbandkid
Mississippi St, Arkansas, and Vandy will lose. Arkansas will be close. Kentucky beats Missouri in a close one. Everyone else won't have a hard time winning.
hasbeen67
I think for the most part, everybody but MSU and LSU, and maybe Missouri, looked to be on the right track week one. I'd say those trends will continue with the week 2 outcomes.
MSTSatchmo
NC State by two scores. OM big UK easily over Missouri UTenn over Pitt Texas in a close one over Arkansas Iowa easily over Iowa St in a top 10 matchup Ohio State over Oregon by at least 2 TDs

Dawg83
It’s always interesting to watch the teams that struggled in Week 1 and see how they look in Week 2. You always have some where it was a one week aberration and others where they’re just not a very good team. Several of the teams we’ve mentioned (State, Mizzou, Iowa State, Oregon, Arkansas to a certain extent) had clunkers in Week 1 and managed to just squeak by teams they should’ve dominated. And now they all have huge games this week that will tell us a lot more about who they really are. Bulldogs4
On paper, State should get killed by NCSTATE. As to what is going to happen, who knows?
rebmus
Most of the games this weekend are cupcake city. MSU/NC State should give us an idea of how MSU really looks this year. If MSU wins, this past weekend was more of a fluke. I'm curious of how Arkansas looks vs Texas. I'm not sold Texas is really worth a ranking just yet, this could be a really good game. Kentucky vs Missouri should be a close one, but does anyone care who wins? I expect Ohio State to blow out Oregon.
rebmus
#17 Coastal Carolina is struggling some with Kansas 28-22 in the third quarter tonight. Duke scored right before halftime to take a 21-14 lead on North Carolina A&T. Duke already lost to Charlotte last weekend, another loss will heat up Cut's seat to VERY WARM. rebmus
Duke and Coastal Carolina are rolling in the second halves, turned into boring games. I hate the OM and MSU games will be on during the same time tomorrow. The MSU/NC State game should be a very good one to watch. Arkansas/Texas is also during the same time slot, which also has potential to be a good one.
Bulldogs4
I remember the 1969 Texas-Arkansas game. They were ranked 1-2, President Nixon attended the game. Arkansas was up 14-0 and poised to go up 21-0 but Texas intercepted a pass on the end zone. They then drove down the field for a TD, went for two and cut the score to 14-8, then scored again late to win 15-14. This all happened in the fourth quarter. One of the all time great games in CFB. We were Texas fans then because my Dad liked Coach Royal (he was the HC at State back in the early 50’s). Tonight I will be a Hog fan though. Good to see the rivalry renewed. MSTSatchmo
A&M 10 Colorado 7 Final! I feel like I went back in time 30 years.
MSTSatchmo
State’s defense may have more yards than their offense. Prior to coming to State, I think Leach was in the Top 10 in passing offense 7 out of the previous 10 years. I know playing SEC defenses would be tough, but LA Tech and NC State? MSTSatchmo
Very good job by State’s defense and better job this week by the State OL. I said after last week that State would win 3. I’ll give them 4 now. OM did what they were supposed to. I didn’t watch any of it, but the score would be indicative of that. I think Arkansas would be the surprise of the week. Huge win by them.
