As they head into district play, they will challenge George Cty. and might play a competitive game against Picayune. Their offense could make them a playoff win team. Cleveland Central-Currently sitting at 4-0 with wins that they wouldn’t have pulled out last year. Last night beating Southaven on a 2pt conversion in OT being one of them. Hancock played decent in last year’s 6A, but faded down the stretch. That QB has started for like five years, and the Oline is huge. Probably the most benefit of dropping a class from anybody. I saw a friend of mine at usm game yesterday who is a petal fan. Told me Hancock is 2nd best team in region 4. I certainly wouldn’t discount that insight. Hancock could very well be the real deal, but I guess we need to see how they do in region play. If they are able to set the cruise control in region play, we could very well be in the same boat as y’all the last game of the regular season. Jury is still out based on who they have played though. Natchez and Moss Point are not very good. St. Martin might honestly be the worst team in the state 4A-7A. They have Florence, West Harrison, George County and Pascagoula 4 straight weeks which in my opinion will tell the tale for them really. But you're right they definitely are improved and they've beaten everyone they've played like a drum which is what good teams are supposed to do against, call it as you will, inferior competition. This year they have lost both games against the two teams with winning records and their 3 wins have come against teams with a combined record of 1-12. Two of those wins being struggle wins.
