NoWammies
But a huge QB matchup tonight in Scooba with former Greenwood/GCS QB DJ Smith’s Jones College taking on former Taylorsville QB Ty Keyes’ EMCC team. Can watch it here if looking for a game to watch tonight. https://jcbobcats.com/watch/?Live=6427&type=Live&mibextid=Zxz2cZ Edited September 14, 2023 by NoWammies
maroontide06
I thought Ty Keyes went/committed to Southern Miss? Did he even go there?

Yea he did and played for two years, but injuries halted his time there. Was actually about to transfer to Syracuse before choosing EMCC instead. https://www.outkick.com/college-football-transfer-qb-creates-mystery-with-cryptic-reason-for-not-committing-to-syracuse-going-juco-route-at-emcc/ Edited September 14, 2023 by NoWammies

This should be his junior season

NoWammies
It’s EMCC, anything is possible with them.
NoWammies
Not sure if this is accurate or if the reason but possibly his freshman year was the covid year and then was also granted a medical redshirt.

I had no clue he got injured to be granted a medical redshirt. I thought his pride was the only thing that got hurt while he was there. He was supposed to be THE MAN coming out of Taylorsville. A local kid who everyone said was the type of QB So Miss needed to get back to their old winning ways. I hate it did not work out for him. He was a stud at Taylorsville. BigT
He got hurt because of no blocking,he was running for his life the two years he was there in fact all QBs southern had got hurt becauseof the offensiveline...that's why they went to the super back,I think Syracuse is still in the works, not sure!

He needs to improve on his decision making whether it’s knowing when to give it off on jet sweeps instead of pulling it away and taking it himself and also knowing when to not just toss it up in double coverage. He’s got all the attributes to be a great QB but still has things to improve on. I’ll chalk that one up to being first game.
Bulldogs4
Listened to the end of EMCC’s game and from listening to the radio guys, they just flat let a team with much lesser talent beat them. Of course, Coach Glen Davis at Co-Lin is known for squeezing out as much as he can from his talent.
FBdude
Wasn’t Keys Feshman year a redshirt year? Doubt he played in more than 4 games.

(i guess thats a medical redshirt)
