Either way they would have to get by the winner of region 6 in round 3, whether it’s Heidelberg or Mize. And regardless of who that is, that’s not gonna happen. It’s possible that Lake wouldn’t even make the playoffs if they were in region 6. Their entire region was swept in the first round last season. Their school enrollment may be dropping off, but their athletic rosters are not. They lost a lot of seniors from their defense but they return most of their offensive starters from last season, and they likely still have at least 40 or more on their roster. I think they finish 2nd in the district behind east Marion, but wouldn’t be totally shocked if they ended up winning the region. They always have good looking athletes. East Marion is going to be really really good, and both collins and north Forrest have a good group coming back. East Marion also added a transfer from west Marion, though I don’t know anything about the player. This region will be matched up with region 6 in round 1.
