I remember when NSD felt like another holiday. Now it’s just basically another day with the way times are. That being said Ole Miss was able to get signatures from the two guys I was hoping would stick around. Landon Barnes and JaMichael Garrett are going to be future stars on the defensive side of the ball. Can’t wait to see them in Ole Miss jerseys.

State’s class was looking like a disaster until recently but they’ve done good work to save it late. Flipping Womack from Auburn and Nickerson from Mizzou by far the most notable transpirings.

Essentially took State from a well below average class ranking to one that’s far more consistent with what they typically do.

247 has us ranked 25th overall rn? Strange considering there’s only 3 blue chips

I have faith in Lebby for getting a good portal class. Gonna be a lot easier to sell this year considering we actually showed signs of life this year

May be some artificial inflation going on due to how big the class is. 30 commits.

Once you factor in portal guys there’s a pretty good chance State has 50-60 new players on the roster next year.

Roster limits are 105 now so there’s going to be a ton of movement everywhere. This portal cycle will be nuts.

50-60 new guys sounds pretty realistic for portal heavy teams nowadays

Could Penn State hire DeBoer after Alabama is eliminated from the playoff?

Originally it was far fetched but now I would not be surprised.

At Bama he is in a no win situation.
At Penn State, he could probably have a good gig going for a while.

I think you can argue Penn State’s expectations are on par with Bama’s. Franklin won 13 games last year and lost in the Playoff semifinals on a last second field goal… only to not survive the month of October the following year.

Yep, Penn State doesn't exactly sell "safe job" very well.

I'd love to see Penn State hire Alabama's coach just to watch the chaos unfold, I'm not holding my breath for it to happen.

Sark to the NFL is more likely IMO, and I'm not betting on that either... probably about 25% chance that happens this year.

IF both happened, we'd have 8 SEC teams with new head coaches.

Franklin was the coach there 11+ years. Expectations are high there but DeBoer will never last 11 years at Bama. He is in an impossible position at Bama. If they lose to Georgia and in the first round of the playoffs I can see him leaving. Being the coach after the legend is the worst coaching gig period.

I think we’re 2 years from seeing the best football from Deboer and Grubb.  I know they get to field 5 stars everywhere but they all don’t fit the system yet. Something interesting to note, arguably their 3 most important players offensively outside of Ty Simpson all came from Washington. Germie Bernard(4*) , Parker Brailsford(3*) , Josh Cuevas (no stars).
