The distractions with Kiffin end up costing OM the Florida game and the Egg Bowl and they miss the Playoff.… but then Kiffin ends up staying. Wonder how that would go over. I thought it would cost us the Oklahoma game and it didn’t. I think the players realize what they’re playing for THIS YEAR and they’ll get it done. It’s crazy that the rebuild year team has been the most dependable and full of leaders.
NoWammies
With all the trash Umanmielen had to hear from Florida players and fans after the game last year, the ultimate karma would be for his brother to have his best game of the season tomorrow. It’s a possibility because he’s been clutch lately.
Dawg83
Shapen and Reese both off the injury report for State tomorrow and seemingly full go. We will see what happens. I personally think 24 points tomorrow night likely wins in CoMo. Mizzou is going to run the dang ball and probably try to eat clock. If State can get some early scores and not be playing from behind, I think they’ll have a real chance. State got stomped by two Top 5 teams but otherwise every P4 game has been close,
DrownInEtown
Ole Miss - Florida: Lane doesn’t lose at home. 42-21 Rebs State-Mizzou: Bad matchup stylistically for the Dawgs: State gets gashed back to back weeks giving up 200 yards rushing again. 35-24 Mizzou Bama-OU: I’m calling a OU upset right here. Bama just can’t run the ball and idk if Ty can be Superman again against this defense. Sooners take down the tide 28-24 Texas-Georgia: Arch is the only reason this team is winning ball games. Story of the week. #16 plays the best game a QB has all year and takes down the Dawgs 42-
NoWammies
Texas A&M better figure something out quick or they’re going to be in trouble.
NoWammies
South Carolina 30 Texas A&M 3 Half And to think there were Ole Miss fans upset that we only scored 30 against South Carolina and were complaining about our offense. South Carolina’s defense is legit when their front seven play like they are today.
Dawg83
A&M has quietly made it to this point by virtue of a good Notre dame win and then beating the worst of the worst in the SEC…. But this would be one of the bigger egg layings I can ever recall if this remains an SC blowout win.
NoWammies
It appears they’ve found their mojo in the 2H.
Dawg83
A&M completes the 27 point comeback. That it the kind of loss that may stick with Shane Beamer forever and fan bases have a hard time forgiving something like that. See Bryan Harsin against State in 2021. NoWammies
With the USF loss USM put themselves in a good situation to be in the playoffs if they were to beat James Madison in the SBC championship but they are laying an egg today vs Texas St. Some of it has to do with them having to use a backup QB but they had no room for error and their defense is giving up too much. DrownInEtown
Daniel Hill has brought some life to Bama’s run game. Nothing is going Bama’s way and they’re still only down by 3 at half
Dawg83
These are two really good teams in Bama-OU. I was wrong about OU based off only watching them against Texas and Ole Miss. Their defense is legit. If they could get anything consistent at all from Mateer they’d be a Top 5 team. I don’t really know what to make of Bama, still adjusting to watching post-Saban Bama and it’s a very different experience than our brains got used to watching for about 15 years. Bulldogs4
USM laying an egg though I know they are without their starting QB. SCar had two long TD passes and a fumble return for 21 of their 30 points in the first half. So I was not surprised that A&M came back to win. This is a different A&M team this year. They are solid. Okie giving Bama all they can handle right now. Daniel Hill has been a bright spot. Sure wish he was at State.
DrownInEtown
Deboers teams are a wildcard. They show up for 1 half and look like 2019 LSU then the next 6 quarters they play like a Low-tier SEC team. Thankfully for Deboer the talent can make up for all the inconsistency. I still think this Bama team is #2 in the SEC. They played a terrible game and only lost by 2 to #

But with the expanded playoff I think it’s more about who can pop at the right time. A lot like the NFL. Think of the Chiefs. Doesn’t matter if they’ve lost 6 games in the regular season. They’ll be favored against almost everyone in the playoffs. Ohio State last year, lost to Oregon and Michigan but we knew they have the ability to pop because they’re so talented with elite coaching. I think Bama fits that mold

Bulldogs4
Ugly wins are always good wins. State is so painful to watch. Our guys never give up but we have a monopoly on doing the dumbest things at just the right time for the opponent.

Dawg83
If I had video editing skills I would set the highlights of this State game to “Yakety Sax” as this has been a straight up comedy of errors. I don’t even know where to begin with this one lol. To be totally honest with yall, I had kinda been leaning toward picking State to win the Egg Bowl for a decent chunk of the season…. There’s no way in good conscience I’m going to be able to do that when Black Friday rolls around. This is an improved team but still one that’s EXTREMELY dysfunctional. They’re not beating Ole Miss barring something just totally unexpected happening a la the Nick Fitzgerald injury in 2017. Coleman Hutzler, thank you for your time, but you are no longer needed. This has been an abomination of a defensive effort against a team that cannot pass the ball to save their life. Everyone and their mama knows all Mizzou can do is run the ball and they are forever more running WILD on State. I mean not even the slightest resistance. Kewan Lacy, how many yards do you want to run for in the Egg Bowl? You can literally take your pick. They will be there to be had in bunches when you make the trip to Starkville. Bulldogs4
Plus throw in an additional 21 points on turnovers so the offense/special teams get some credit as well.
