Everybody Mize has played is still playing in the 2nd round of the playoffs except for Enterprise Clarke. Mize will be the best team Wesson has played all season. NorthSide/Baldwyn game is basically a play in game for the north state game. This game will be harder for both than their 3rd round game will be. There has only been two games where our varsity didn’t have a single turnover, and those games were clarkdale and lake. Clarkdale was 45-0 and Lake was 49-0 when the starters were taken out. If we turn the ball over multiple times again this week against Wesson, we will get our tails whipped. We could lose even without any turnovers, but if we have turnovers it will be even worse. And we did get a couple of starters back last week against enterprise who had missed a few games with injuries, and that’s helped. Especially with depth. I was surprised east Marion beat bay springs the way they did but honestly bay springs should have been the 4 seed from region 6. Mize lost to bay springs because they had 4 turnovers. I was hoping to get a rematch with them. I wasn’t surprised that clarkdale beat amite county. I predicted that they would win that game. Athletically, they may be the 2nd best team we have played outside of Heidelberg. I’m surprised they haven’t won more games than they have. QB is young but looks pretty dang good for a freshman.
