I agree with that, but do you flip a coin with Harrison Central and Biloxi? I realize it's scraping the bottom of the barrel regardless though. It's the only 7 team region in 5A-7A and d'Iberville should be at least 3rd like you say.

Warriors dominated Meridian 35-0 in varsity action in the spring but Meridian either left their Varsity at home or they're gonna have a down year. Warriors should be solid regardless. Dubaction
Oak Grove is loaded. Only real question mark is will the WR core be an elite group because there’s no real big names. Solid across the board everywhere else and Kellen Hall may end up being the best QB in 7a these next 2 seasons.

Great speed and decent size at the ends and LB including Mac McDaniel who’s a stud. No big names in the secondary like in the past but we have a new D coordinator that made and won state at Hazelhurst as a DC and HC. He seems solid and doesn’t run cover 0 all game like the last DC. You can only get away with that so much.

Dunno who was running the defense Edited June 13, 2025 by Dubaction

Non-division games are irrelevant. They just need to win enough district games to get them in. They just need to win 3 of 4 against Harrison Central, Biloxi, West Harrison & St. Martin. If they win all four of those games then they securely lock up the 3 seed.

I don’t understand the point being made here. MY point is he has more talent to work with at OG and has a pretty successful track record regardless of competition. I think "Football in MS" guy was trying to take a jab at a coach or team and forgot the Warriors literally made the playoffs last season and played pretty well in a loss against a tough Brandon team. A "bad season" at D'ville is usually still better than a good season for the bottom half of the teams of region 4. D'ville doesn't stay down long and should win the games they're supposed to this season. OS and Gulfport probably the favorites but they just let the haters hate and keep grinding. I wasn't really paying attention to that. d'Iberville should be in good shape to make the playoffs. They just can't lay a basket full of eggs against inferior competition. As long as they avoid that, they'll be just fine.

Maybe I’m wrong but I’m buying low on Dville. I just looked at their schedule and I don’t think a talented 7A school would have their schedule. They have two 3As, one 2A and one 5A for non district. I know JDC, Raleigh and Gautier compete in their classes but I don’t think playing down 4 classes is getting your team ready for district and shows you aren’t confident in your team.
