JDC is 2-4 lost their first district game and is not even relevant in 3A and tell me JDC is not an elite team anymore.

Tough non region schedule. You can’t count out Mancuso until he is out. It does appear they have defensive problem stopping teams from scoring. A win this week and a definite win the next week and they still in it. A lose this week and they are looking at the 4th seed. They can still win the first round. After that it gets tougher. They are definitely on a downward slope.

I will say that majority of those players are from Prentiss and not Bassfield.That coupled with people leaving the county and losing asst coaches there will be lean years in JDC. The administration wanted Mancuso gone a year or so even as late as early this year.

I am not sure what it was about. A new principal from Jackson was hired year. There was some discussion of a change. Not sure what came of it or if its ever came to a head. I think he want Mancuso gone. Things haven't been right since winning wise. It appears that this will be 2 or 3 years without a region title. Defense obviously is having trouble keeping opponents off the scoreboard.

Mancuso and the new principal did not get along last season. I don’t know if they do this year or not, or even if that principal is still there this year

Actually bassfield was in its last days until they combined. Every championship that JDC has won, their leading rushers was from prentiss

Enterprise @ By Springs after two brutal beatdowns I feel Enterprise is ready to take that next step; Heidelberg is a much better version of Bay  Springs so playing a similar team though not one as good should help Enterprise; I have been watching Bay Springs they  have some weaknesses and are beatable.

I said back after the spring that JDC was gonna struggle on defense. I still think come playoff time they will be hitting their stride

One thing that will help enterprise this week is bay springs struggles on offense. But I watched the film of their game last week, and enterprise tackled very poorly. I don’t think Bay springs wins this game in a blowout, but I think they win it something like 28-14 maybe.

People need to stop assuming JDC is going to do anything because Mancuso has won so many state titles; JDC will finish 3rd or 4th in their  region and be lucky to get  past the 2nd round.

That’s pretty accurate. Enterprise will have trouble moving the ball, but Bay Springs offensive struggles will keep them in the game for a little while. They do have one good back with a lot of speed that Enterprise may struggle tackling. Bay Springs should eventually pull away though.

That won't be a problem  with Bay Springs most teams will have problems tackling against Heidelberg.

Bay Springs struggles on offense? I never would’ve guessed it by watching this game. They’re beating themselves with penalties yet still lead 12-0 to end the 1Q. Enterprise has -5 yards on 2 drives.

Our year is over. I,m resigned to it. We will go 2-8 and miss the playoffs. It's over.

JDC and Enterprise may be done for the year. Enterprise definitely at best 1st round beat down at Scott Central

With alcohol and weed on campus will Heidelberg be put on any kind of probation. My guess is no. I do believe there school will not be allowed to have an after party on campus fox x # of years involving alcohol and weed.They may not be allowed to tailgate going forward. And I am sure all schools will be herrington from MHSAA office. And I am all safety protocols and procedures will have to be updated by all.

The situations at Leland and rolling fork happened off campus. The Heidelberg incident happened on school campus. That’s why it’s different. I honestly will be a little surprised if the school isn’t punished in some way or form. I definitely think tailgating for them is done.

Some sort of probation with no tailgating.  I can't see punishing the team. This will be punishment of the school, probation, etc. I would hope that it won't be that have to play before empty stands for a year.

Enterprise at this point is just praying that basketball season will come as quick as possible. A tough schedule along with injuries has completely depleted them. Only thing that could give them somewhat of a positive this season is getting a win against Clarkdale.
