I’ve got a friend that’s a head coach in 5A, I made my same comment to him about the every year failed expectations of Holmes County and he mentioned the QB transfer as well. We moved to East Texas from Batesville in 2006, and I've been back to Batesville only a handful of times, but I do keep up through friends who still live there. The names on the jerseys are the same as they were when we lived there, and they do make the playoffs every year, but since their last state championship they've only made it past the first round one time.
