JDC St Stanislaus Hazlehurst Magee and Jefferson Co will also be in the mix. But IMO either Enterprise or Noxubee will win the south and we are in the same Region and we will play twice. I don’t know what Hazelhurst and Tylertown have this season but are usually in the mix. Magee will be ok. I saw them in the springs and they didn’t look great but didn’t look bad either. The last few seasons before last year were rare occurrences for our program. Enterprise has traditionally been a bad team, and had an unusually good 4 year run. Jimmerson dropped Quitman from the schedule and replaced them with Newton because he knew Quitman will be loaded the next two years. JImmerson schedules teams he believes Enterprise can beat; thats why MIze is on the schedule and not Bay Springs; Raleigh or Scott Central. I wouldnt call 2 state titles and three state championship appearances traditionally bad; the truth is prior to the 1990s Enterprise had a strong tradition; Mize has won I believe four state titles but the last one was in 2004 and MIze has not been relevant in almost 20 years; they got lucky last year and caught Enterprise on a bad night and almost pulled an upset; Enterprise will beat Mize for a fifth straight time in September; they're on our schedule because Jimmerson thinks they can be beaten.
