Which teams have impressive or a challenged 1A non district schedule to help them be prepared for the district play and play-off run? They probably will have the best receivers corp in 1A and also very good running back Qb had been starting ever since a freshman . They won’t be quite as dominant as bay springs last year, but they will be dominant in 1A. Taylorsville will be really good, but still only 2nd or 3rd best. Taylorsville returns all their skills guys but they lost a lot on the offensive and defensive lines. They were not on Velma Jackson’s level last year and they won’t be this year either. Velma Jackson was the 2nd or 3rd best 2A team last year and they return almost their entire team. Their RB is very good, and could be a dandy dozen selection in 2 years. I wouldn’t say it’s likely, but there is a possibility they could start out 0-7 before getting to their district schedule. All their non-conference games are bigger schools. Taylorsville is going to be Taylorsville, they won't go 0-7 their best receiver may be down, but they still have several receiver's that are good too,plus they in the 6'1 to 6'3 range and still have great backs including craft who put up almost 1500 all purpose yards! I agree they will still be good. It’s not about them, it’s about who they loaded their schedule up with. Personally I think they win a couple of those games. I’m gonna say they are no better than 3-4 in their first 7 games though. Probably 2-5. I like the Craft kid. I went to school and played ball with his dad.
