Unfortunately the best team in 6A won’t win the 6A title, but kudos to Starkville for getting hot at the right time.

Lol the best team in 6A did win the title this year.. everyone else can verbally fight for 3rd and less.. On the field, where the game is played Starkville is the best!!!!

Well yes they are.  They got hot at the right time.  And yes what happens on the grid iron is all that matters.

Best team did win.  Starkville had bunch of kids hurt this year and got them back.  QB was one of them.  They got healthy not hot.

I understand where you are coming from and I should have reworded my post differently, but Starkville became the best  6A team during the playoffs.  The teams that were the best during the regular season were Tupelo and Ocean Springs and that’s what I meant with my post because they couldn’t finish on top.

At any level, it’s not always the best team that wins, but the team that matches up well against their opponents that night, or who catches the breaks or makes their breaks happen. I’ll stay convinced that some teams play better against certain types of defenses, or can stop certain types of offenses better. In other words, my Greyhounds probably could have beat Starkville last night, but couldn’t beat Brandon last week because of how they match up. I can dream, anyway. On to next year!
