Chunky6617
Does anybody know what the state record for total yardage and total points in a single season is? If im not mistake I think Naniah Waiya held the record for points in a season at one point but I’m not sure they still do. Does anybody know? Oh wow. I didn’t know it was that much. I thought it was in the high 600’s. I think that record is safe then. Heidelberg currently has 604 points, and is averaging 46.4 points per game, but that should slow down with the competition they are about to play the next 2-3 weeks. But as for total yardage, they already have over 5000 yards of offense, and I think they will go the distance so I’m curious as to what they finish with after the season is over. I was incorrect. Heidelberg is averaging 50 points per game, which would put them past NW’s record season if they kept it up. I don’t see them keeping that up over these next 2-3 games though. Wareaglefan1us
Picayune had crazy numbers with Donte Dowdell I can’t remember what season it was. But I remember them saying they were on a record setting pace

That math don’t add up. Scoring 47.4 points per game over 15 games would only be 711 points. Nevermind. I see they played 16 games that year. Also during this season Cam Thomas led the nation in rushing yardage. Nobody else has averaged over 50ppg. That whole season was a beauty to watch. Rebel Bert
Raleigh had 667 points in 2022 State Championship run finishing 14-1.
Chunky6617
Heidelberg currently has 660 points on the season. Gonna fall well short of Nanih Waiyas record, but NW did play one more game. Points per game will be very close. I don’t think they will score their season average on Charleston though. I do think they score at least 30.

Refs miss calls in every single game. I have a video of refs blowing a huge 4th down call late in the 4th quarter in the Mize/Loyd Star game. Thats part of the game. Referees make bad calls at times. But the referees did not determine the outcome of the Raleigh and Heidelberg game, that’s for certain. Heidelberg was at least 3 touchdowns better than Raleigh. They are the most complete team in 2A, offensively and defensively. I dont know if Charleston is better than Raleigh or not. Personally I think Raleigh may could beat Charleston. But there’s no doubt that Heidelberg is the best in 2A south, and has been all season.

Raleigh and Bay Springs were the only good teams on their schedule. Mize was the 3rd best.

It wasn’t like they were barely getting by. They also played and beat Quitman. They never gave up more than 12 points in any game they played, and they average close to 50 points per game on offense. They are one of the better 2A teams I have seen. Maybe not quite as good as 2022 Scott Central, but close.
