I heard that! but they only have 75 passes thrown combined!

Are they running the old T-formation that Coach Branch ran when he was QB for Pearl River under Dobie Holden and QB for Mississippi State under Slick Morton?  If not,  it's got to be one of those old school offenses in that wheelhouse.

Loyd Star runs a Notre dame box. Mize runs the double wing, and will run some flexbone. Loyd Star has thrown 55 passes all season, and 20 of those were in one single game after they got down big in the first half. Mize has thrown 37 passes all season.

They have played two common opponents, Wesson and Richton.

If players are good enough, they will get recruited. This isn’t the 90’s where there was no technology and limited film. The problem is every parent or family member thinks their kid is good enough to play college ball. That puts unnecessary pressure on a kid that should just be worried about being a good teammate and enjoying their time as a high school athlete. The reality is only about 2% of all athletes in the country get a college scholarship. But yet every single parent thinks their kid is in that 2%. The kids just want to play ball most of the time.

Not to split hairs, but Loyd Star runs an unbalanced single wing offense. The Box offense uses a balanced OL and often incorporates multiple backfield shifts. Although they are similar, UBSW gets more blockers to the POA.
