This game is better than it was in 1988. Unless I’m reading that wrong, what would the change of the landscape in college have to do this game? This game is consistently loaded with future D1 guys. Look at the former MVP’s and then look at the NFL. Even with injuries involved with this game, it was still loaded. MS/Al is one of the most loaded state/state competitions there is. You do have folks say we shouldn’t face AL because of population but it’s the best competitive game. Oh let’s play Arkansas like most say smh.

Oh most know him. Didn’t he fumble about 4 times against Florida and have a horrible game against UNC? He has a good reel that consist of mostly Charleston Southern. He’s a Shapen backup. Y’all just have to get through this year because KT is a very solid future. A VERY SOLID future.

Let’s not forget Pegues was an Auburn TE. You can go back and see Ivey, Nolen, Umanmielien, Amos, and Dottery old fans laughed that we took them because of their lack of stats. Also Perkins is homegrown by Golding.

The most Ole Miss thing happened to us this year. When Golding came, I’m sure like you heard, he was a bum. That dude has us as one of the top defenses and a place for a defensive player to come. Now we can’t seem to strike out in the portal when it comes to defensive guys. Surprisingly it was our offense that let us down this year and that was the last thing I worried about coming into the season. A lot of mirror finger pointing needs to happen this offseason on that side of coaching.

Walter Nolen declares for the draft but will play in the bowl. If you thought the season hurt your heart just wait until we have three guys drafted in the 1st round and five in the 1st two rounds like projected. If you’re a DB transfer, which we have two top ten guys in town now, you might wanna eye Ole Miss though because of Amos this year. On the depth chart at Bama and now an All SEC 1st team projected 1st rounder. It’s crazy how couple years ago we were hoping we could stop offenses because our offense was so explosive but defense couldn’t stop anyone. Now we’re getting top defensive transfers and praying while we fight off teams for offensive guys.

Condolences sent out to his family and it’s def a strange story. Not to make this about me but my crew had to pull one of our deckhands out of the river on my last hitch. He made it because of quick response and all of us being CPR certified. I tell everyone to take the time out to go get certified especially if you have kids.

1 big worry I have with Ole Miss is behind Austin Simmons is absolutely no one. We have AJ Maddox but I’m not even sure if he’s listed as a QB anymore. I knew Walker Howard would transfer but we need to grab 1 or 2 backups.

I honestly wish he wasn’t a walking penalty because he was a positive attitude high energy type of guy. However I did hear when he got dismissed from the team after the Egg Bowl he held onto the door and wouldn’t let go.

Micah Pettus has officially entered the portal. My sources say he is holding on to hope that he gets a better offer elsewhere.

Had De'Zhaun Stribling in Oxford yesterday. Would love to be able to land him but it sounds like he’s asking the type of money like he’s Randy Moss talented so pretty sure we’ll be moving on from him. I don’t like that Singleton left without signing the other day regardless of what usually 25% right David Johnson says. We’ll have to beat Texas out for him. Dane Key was also here yesterday. This is a make or break next few days with the WR position. Land 2 of these 3 and we’re in a perfect position. Don’t land any and could be in trouble. I wish we could’ve had all 3 in the building at the same time but having Stribling and Key at same time will have to do.

David Johnson has put in a crystal ball to Ole Miss for #1 portal transfer Eric Singleton Jr so I fully expect him to go elsewhere now.

Two biggest issues which really wasn’t on the coaching was the OL and WR’s. With the OL, a lot was we were just outmatched by the AL DL which was expected coming into the game. There was absolutely no running on the inside against their DL even with Taylor from Grenada. At WR, the only guy that really could get separation was Barnett from Hattiesburg. Stevenson from Germantown did a decent job but we just didn’t have a dynamic type WR this year. Apparently MS was a heavy underdog going into the game and most said we did better than expected.

It was just an exhibition game for Ole Miss/Illinois and Illinois was replacing a lot of guys from last year but that blowout win against them before the season started is looking good right now as Illinois leads #1 Tennesse 60-57 with 3 mins left. I was skeptical when it happened.
