Jamiyon is a very talented player for Mize. I coached him through youth football since he was 6 years old. He’s in the same class as my oldest son. He just turned 15 back in September, he’s 6 ft and about 185 pounds right now. He’s still gonna grow another 2 or 3 inches if I had to guess. Probably will be 10 pounds heavier by next fall. He is fast, strong, and athletic. He’s a starter for the varsity basketball team. He started 4 games on defense for us in 2022 as an 8th grader. He rushed for just under 1000 yards this year but he only had around 80 carries, averaged 12 yards per carry. He also had 6 interceptions on defense. He will probably be one of the biggest recruits we have had in a while by time he graduates.

Enterprisebulldogfan doesn’t understand that not every program is like Enterprise. Some schools have good athletes that are underclassmen that are just waiting for the upperclassmen to graduate.

You will still easily win your region. And easily win the 1st round.

Raleigh is losing several starters. Scott central is bringing back a lot. Scott Central and Heidelberg will probably be the early 2A south favorites

The tv announcers keep trying to act like there was a Facemask on Columbia on that fumble return. That was a Facemask on Louisville. The defender did not have the Facemask

I usually always defend officials. But this crew for this 4A game shouldn’t be allowed to call a championship game again. My goodness, it’s 7 games. The MHSAA should at least be able to find good officials for championship games. This is horrible

Yes. They just don’t have any athletes right now. Their 9th grade is pretty good. But they are still a couple years away from winning. They will be competitive in 1A in 2-3 years, but not next year. They will be a little better next year than they were this year, but it won’t really show in wins and losses.

This year was then most competitive 2A has been in a long time.

Honestly, these 5 teams were the only teams in 1A that has a punchers chance at winning the whole thing. There was a pretty decent drop off after the top 5. Those 5 were head and shoulders above the rest.

Somebody will probably drop down from 3A and move up from 1A. Usually always does. I could see Mize being in the Puckett, Pelahatchie region. Next season will not be as good for Mize and Raleigh, although both teams should still be good. Mize is losing 6 on offense, and 8 on defense. We have a good 9th and 10th grade group. They going to have to step up next season.

Charleston has a young team. They will probably be the heavy favorite again next year. Heidelberg and Scott Central will probably be the favorties in the south, both of those teams were young.

Stringer is gonna be horrible next year. I know they got Brady now, but they are still far behind. Their freshman class is pretty good. That’s who they will depend on the next few years. Taylorsville will be really good. They got to find a running back though. They make both of their RB’s. Most everybody else is back

This one was kind of tough. The best overall team was in 2A North, but the south was much deeper and more competitive. This is how I would rank it 1) Charleston 2) Heidelberg 3) Raleigh 4) Union 5) Bay Springs 6) Calhoun City 7) Scott Central 8] Mize 9) Clarkdale 10) Collins

Well they did until they got to Biggersville. But Biggersville outcoached Velma. Not because Velma’s coach did anything wrong, because he didn’t. Biggersville’s coach just put on a show

I said Taylorsville was probably the 2nd best team in the state. I was wrong, they aren’t. Biggersville is definitely the 2nd best team in 1A. They gonna run out of steam here it appears but they are definitely the 2nd best team in 1A.
