I know this but a few years ago both schools came together and played a few seasons as the Benton County Bucs. So was just curious if they were trying that again

Are they merging their football teams again? I don't see where they are merging the two schools. They are looking for a head coach.

Until he signs a contract with someone, I won't believe anything because every job that has been posted has had Teddy Dyess listed as getting the job. I have nothing against him, but it is getting a little ridiculous on this board with his name being thrown out there constantly. I think Quitman should hire him.

Puckett has their OC job listed so there may be some fire to that smoke.

All of the schools in the county except West. Curious where he ends up with all the jobs still open. Like Philly, Taylorsville, Bogue Chitto, etc.

West Point lost a lot but they are still West Point so the state championship goes through them. Louisville returns a lot.

They look like they were heavy zone and BoB. They ran the ball for a billion yards last year out of a heavy set, it seems. However they didn't look like they moved around well enough to run bucks and counters. To me the best wing t teams are the ones with small but fast offensive lines, who can get around. That wasn't quitman OL last year

Undersized but athletic. I am just going off a few clips but they didn't pull very much.

Nothing against the wing t. There are a lot of schools that need to run the wing t and a lot of schools that can run the wing t successfully. I don't know how well Quitman's OL can adapt to the wing t at this moment. With a team that has a chance to compete in 4a that may be a drastic change for them.

That is why I said if he was.

I could see a big uproar if he was a Quitman Grad.

I did hear that 3 or 4 turned it down. I know two names that did turn it down but not sure the other 2.

Don't know who got it, but heard current DC at a school that won a state championship as a possibility.

I don't blame him though if you are talking about before they reopened it. He took a college job.

That wasn't issue. My issue is that Teddy Dyess specifically has been linked to every job posted and then people say he never applied. I think there a lot of assumptions that he applied and no real hard evidence. If all these schools passed on him then I really have a lot of questions for their administration.

So Teddy and Forest are up for every job in the state? I think someone is trolling.

I guess I missed that Franklin County made a hire. Clinton and North Panola have been quiet and both have been open for a while. Curious if Harrison will try to go after an acting head coach. It NEJ doesn't hire Carter that would be surprising. And there is an entire thread about Taylorsville
