Isn't our best DT from last season coming back this week ?

Anyone care to revisit this topic now before region play starts ? All the Natchez bandwagoners get in here, They lost to 3A Hazelhurst the other night. Hattiesburg should get their first win this Friday night against them or it could put them on the outside looking in for the postseason

There’s a big difference if say a giant industry moved in bringing more families in from other places and just going around loading up football players and bringing them to a school ?. I could get used to families moving in because of my first statement but it probably wouldn’t feel the same though.Look I know most of these kids fathers ,grandfathers, grandmothers, sisters, aunts and everyone in the communities.All the former players who paved the way.Saw them grow up as I grow older. My family goes to church with their families. I knew Ronnie Green whose son played the Friday after he passed. I grieved for him and his mother. I remember Greg Miller who tragically passed way too young a few years ago. We all grieve together.That’s what high school football is to me. Like I said I would just give it up if I couldn’t have that. How are you going to change match that with a bunch of hired guns ? I’ll answer it for you, you’re not and any titles that you may pound your chest about will be offset by a hollow feeling that it wasn’t really complete because the spirit of sportsmanship at that level had been compromised

Yes he was. Kid was like a jet when they got him the ball but our defense swarmed him to get him down, You could see the strategy tonight was to get in the QBs face every play. Any of the last three years and we would have lost this game

yes he played, #1. mostly watched the ball sail over his head or out of bounds because the QB was running for his life. Wayne County defense pounded that dude tonIght

They played a good game to beat Oak Grove. I refuse to believe these all star teams are the wave of the future for high school football in MS. If it is I’ll just bow out and not have any interest. Besides a parent or relative of one of these kids who would get behind and support a school like this ? Bandwaggoners ? It takes the community connection away from high school football. The state will step in before long and neuter this scheme . Watch and see.

Good game George County. I am going to say it now , they are going to win that region. We play with the poise of a veteran team. Jack the sheriff Hankins has these young pups believing in him. Man our little running back from Buckatunna is going to be special. You can see his greatness in the crunch time

Oak Grove has experience of having to elevate their play in big games. I expect them to do it in this game too. There will be some new offensive wrinkle you haven't seen this season yet from the Oak Grove coaches. Grovers will cruise in this game.

They are . They had somewhere around fifty freshman come out in the spring I know they just beat Meridian. The QB is also the backup on Fridays, He can only play JV for a quarter or so because he has to be available to play varsity. Everyone is already raving about him, I will say this and I don't make boasts like this lightly . If you are going to get us it better be this season. There are some quality players in middle school now that will be coming in with another year of growth for the current team. We finally have a coach that can do it. I as optimistic as I have been in years. George County has a QB that transferred in from Mobile and some good skill players so this game will be a challenge for sure. They stream video of our games now for ten dollars but you can listen to audio for free

A mild upset ? Have you seen how small our lines are ? All the starters are made up of freshman and sophomores. We’ll be lucky to stay on the field with them. They were one of the favorites to win their region after all

LOL. definitely low T offense. That's what I'm going to call it. I was impressed. On another note was this the nail in a coffin for Lewis Sims.

I don’t want to get ahead of myself but I think we can make some noise this year. I can’t say enough about our new coach. They were on top of the refs all night. Twenty out of the starting twenty two had never played a down of varsity football

If Coach Boyles can't win a title at your school in football you probably don't have a chance at being very good with anyone else. Since The MHSAA spanked them for recruiting with Buckley they don't have that to fall back on anymore. I think Columbia will win this game

Freshman team handled Meridian pretty good tonight. I will say this about the offense they are putting in. I once had someone from Picayune tell me they don’t run the wing t. Well if Picayune doesn’t run a wing t then what Wayne County is going to run isn’t a wing t either.

I"m just happy to have electricity and be back home at this point. From what I gather they are just now lifting some of the veil of secrecy around whats being installed. I'll know more about what's going on sometime tonight. Not that I'm going to reveal much.

That was a good game. I hope we can stay on the field with Pascagoula next week
