  1. Hattiesburg and GC has shaped up to be a huge game. Lacey can't lose to GC or things could get rocky for him
  2. That's not all that talks. Some stuff stepped in talks too. Laurel's streets are brick also If Hattiesburg happens to be doing a search my gut tells me they will try to get T.V. back
  3. If that's the move they will make it will be clear immediately when the season ends. . Him being that close and available to talk to it will already be done. All Unle Rukus has to do is step down and announce it
  4. East Central is 2-0. Winner gets the leg up in the region at 3-0. George County ran over our defense a few weeks ago with the same grind offense. We were forced to watch for what feels like the last twenty years an after version of it, It's now known as wal mart scooter old man offense. It was horrible . That Vancleave team WC just steam rolled bullied our team and beat their arse. All that saying the offense they are bringing into our stadium needs to be officially buried. EC just happens to line up with that timeline. This will be the biggest game Pound has coached. Biggest for most of our team too. EC will have to score forty just to be even
  5. that does make sense. they do want him gone. people have already tested his stance on willingness to move on. He sent word back and that was the end of it. A lot of schools passed over him during the last several years. . Tracy has never been a self promoter.. He is a shrewd winner though and will leave you crying if you underestimate him. I am trying to keep my enthusiasm tempered for now, but at some point, it is what it is. They are about to be able to throw just as efficient as rushing. Seven seniors on this team. so no pound is not going anywhere until he finishes what he had planned to do when he applied for the job.
  6. What are they going to do there? Rolling Uncle Ruckus back out there is not an option I wouldn’t think.
  7. Everyone starting to see the playoffs in the distance. Short and to the point Oak Grove is the best team in the south The last time I watched a coach fall to pieces as bad as the Brandon coach at Petal I don’t remember but I’m sure it’s happened. Vancleave doesn’t belong in 5A. I watched Kevin Fant go in and end Hattiesburg’s season a few yers ago. I thought he would be capable at a bigger school. I was wrong. He’s a poor man’s Lewis sims Seth will be a coach somewhere on the coast next season. PRC is on the verge of collapse since that debacle about Poplarville. Just sayin North Reps this season 7A Tupelo 6A Warren Central 5A ???? Hey Pine Belt social media sports guy. Quit repeating stuff I put on here Everyone have a good week
  8. Leave the rain gear at home. Mild temperatures and a clear sky with a big moonrise about kickoff
  9. It feels good putting stuff in the ride a couple of days before Friday again instead of looking at reasons not to go. IDK know what to think about Al Smith trying to bandwagon his way back amongst the faithful. Madam Supt. watch this stooge or he will be defacto running things again . Let him go support his god son Reynolds helping steer Laurel off the cliff on his program nuked tour
  10. The area that encompasses George County school district they should be dressing eighty or more players. Less than that and a coach really has to decide between being competent on just one side of the ball. You can’t win with that in 6A. Look at the requirements to play football versus the minimum test scores for the state
  11. I will say this much .I've seen stranger stuff happen . You have too.(cough, cough snoop conner, cough, cough ) By and large about 15 or 16 games in a row is the point you are on borrowed time. They should be able to get through that region on borrowed time. After that maybe they quit working so hard and gotten fat off of the creampuffs. It only takes one bad game in a one game season.
  12. I watched most of WP/Pont. Just going off of that if NH or CC can stop the run on the left edge they absolutely can. I can't remember a single pass they threw . They would get to third down and just run left. Run clock, run left. I can't remember WP offense ever looking that bad. They had running backs getting swarmed with no OL even on the screen. More times than not they would block air at the snap. It reminded me of WC with Hankins as our coach. Kids not enjoying a dam thing about it
  13. In the land of the blind the one eyed man is King * First off I’m not one to pump WC football in this column. Saying that ,I have to because it is warranted, There are several coaches around that were assts under Coach Boyles. Collums at MC , Reynolds wherever he’s bounced around to and Breland to name a few.The closest I had seen to meeting that mark was Breland at Laurel with a passing game. As close as it was to it he still couldn’t consistently get the rushing part of it down. There are other former players coaching although I’m not sure where they are. The one at WC has it down. What he is putting out there is the Boyles offense You have to cover the whole field against him and he knows how to scheme speace where the play is going. He knows how to put together a QB too. People forget this was a wing offense six months ago. He proves it more every week. *I saw it New worm in old ground Did anyone see Germantown being a legitimate threat to win that region three weeks ago ? Them beating Starkville looks like a winner take all this Friday when they host Oxford. Whatever the result their coach has had them on an upward trend since he got there . If he stays there I could see them in the title game in the next several years. Will they beat Oxford ? Of course they will have to play MC . Who would you take if they played today ? Speaking of MC to me they can’t seem to get it together under Toby . Since they were in the title game they can’t stop stumbling in the playoffs. Tupelo has had something to do with that but last season getting bounced by Horn Lake is not a good sign. This season isn’t looking much better. Is the shine wearing off and the clock ticking on a change ? More than anyone they seem to be negatively impacted by the rise of private school athletics in their area. Groundhog Day isn’t just a day on the calendar with a name Hattiesburg represented the south last year in the title game. I don’t think Hattiesburg is as good as they were last year. I also think they very easily could go back to the title game. That leaves me with this thought no one in the south in 6A is as good as Hattiesburg was last season. If there is, I would like someone to show me where. Hancock, PRC, West Jones, Terry, all look about the same as they did last season. I don’t think Pascagoula is nearly as good. All any of that means is someone out of that pack is gonna go to the title game. Which one has the most upside going forward? I left out George County because I don’t think they’ll ever be good again. It has to be a problem coming from the district office . Alert - cross all the way until you reach the big river and you will encounter a mirage Natchez. Undefeated and ranked by some people Laurel will get to pass back through Brookhaven and maybe pick up certain body parts that got taken from them last Thursday. Which I think that’s not really fair of them having to make that long trip two weeks in a row if I was a coach, I would’ve never agreed to that schedule. Nevertheless, it’s a region game and I think Laurel gets off the mat and makes that old familiar doubt that Natchez always seems to carry around with them like a backpack come creeping back. Coach Earnest is already medium rare on the cooking scale. He loses this game and you can say hello to new Laurel coach Daryl Carter. That’s who they want. If he won’t come would they just promote Corey Reynolds? I think coach Earnest would blossom again in less stale surroundings. It’s too bad he didn’t wind up in some place like Pascagoula Going with that line of thinking how does someone justify ranking South Jones as being in the upper echelon of 5A ? There was need for trap games and a loser is out of the playoffs part but I don’t have time to look it up. Someone else start it. Leaves are turning and it will soon be time for the one game season. Have a good week MST.
  14. Whatever they had brought up to WC they ain't got no more. They tried and were up 14-7. Then they looked up and it was 41-14. Pound doesn't take his foot off the gas like the last HC/OC did. They were taking out and putting in those jv and fr defensive players in waves. The skill players are catching the ball now . It's paying off.
  15. It would only be fitting if the Wildcats were the team to take them behind the barn and give their season the ol yeller.
  16. Louisiana . Carroll Parish . They shut their whole program down until next season for a fight that happened two weeks ago.
  17. Some school and it's coaches can't play for the rest of the season for something that happened here in LA. A local coach told me earlier in the gym.
  18. Good catch David on that laurel game . They are about to get made an example of over there.
  19. Louisville at Kosciusko Laurel @ Brookhaven -‘iDK why but it’s been stuck on my mind for weeks its in Laurel Oak Grove at Petal Pascagoula at Picayune- hard one Who wins these games ? I don't care about the why. Just the winner. I know there has to be other intriguing games around the state. Put them in here and see who the board thinks will come out on top Louisville Brookhaven Oak Grove Pascagoula - going against history
  20. Line of people getting their boats out of the water or I wouldn't even know anything had formed. Late season storms are usually raw as hell in the direct path.
  21. Any of ya'll get early access to the punishment get it in here . I am interested in knowing what direction they take.
  22. Moved up to Thursday. Stone has been doing a bad job as the district leader. WC thinks they can do better . The first step is putting Stone County out to pasture. After that the rest will fall in line. Interested to see what the defense has been doing for two weeks.
  23. It needs to be. Taunting is at the root of dam near all of this. Their action needs to be public and highly vivsible. Going to the opponents sideline right after the horn has sounded talking smack is a recipe for disaster. The environment is already charged. I blame the DOE to a large degree for not already coming up with harsh deterrents. It's been happening for a few years now and is escalating.
