Well somethings brewing about it because WC had a basketball game over there on Friday night and our athletic department refused to let them go play. Keep in mind he was on the same side as Coach Pierson and he called back two long TD runs for Wayne County.

If what I’m hearing rumblings of is true it is one of the dirtiest, crooked, most underhanded moves in high school football I’ve ever heard of. I mean we joke about things like that all the time on here but to see it played out in real life, I have lost a lot of respect for Scott Pierson.

it was 86,87,88. Somewhere in there. I was at State and became good friends with a dude from Jackson. We drove down to his parents house for the game and went to Clinton for the title game. I don’t even remember who they played but watching him pin point place the football was eye opening. I knew he was a cut above. They won easily but stuck in my mind was a fast kid with a loud mouth from Pascagoula. It was Terrell Buckley . When he showed up on TV at Florida State I was like I remember this guy.

There is no way you can simulate in a week the way they flood the field with receivers. He will pick you apart if you let him stand back and anticipate his throw. You do like Vott said. You send the house. Put him on the ground a few times He will hit some passes but he won’t be as accurate if he’s looking around to see who’s coming. I will say this our defensive coaches have no problem jailbreaking and putting him down. We will just have to live with the consequences.

This guy knows like me. They got a defense and the coach to go with it. If West don’t pull the upset they are dam sure going to make you earn it.

I didn’t analyze any of these teams at this point it is what it is. It wouldn’t be right if I didn’t take my hat off to Gautier. I was critical of them all season and their defense is still a wart on their. However if their is any player you can fill in the holes they might cause it is that QB. They have good receivers that get open but most high schoolers don’t see that many players running routes much less a QB that can stick it in their chest . I was texting with someone from here the other day and both of us agreed that he was the best we had seen at the high school level. There have been better I’m sure but I’ve never seen them. I’ve seen Fant , Matthews, that hot shot from West Monroe years ago. This kid is better. Quick release ,on target with superior velocity. He reminds me of Chris Leak I left the ten spot open for the 11-16 teams that may pull the upset. I would like to do something for the playoffs with info on logistics of host schools for visiting teams. Maybe by Wednesday or Thursday. No you just said that not me. It was a bad comparison. The Laurel receiver ran for a ways too after the catch. I seen the pass and wasn’t wowed by it. I’m not so sure it traveled fifty yards in the air either . I know why the Gautier QB is on your mind and you are probably right.

Just when I thought you were starting to be depended on with your analysis. just go on and tell us you haven’t seen the gautier qb without stating you haven’t seen the kid. Laurel QB throws hard for about ten yards. Anything over that he has to arch it low velocity. The Gautier can throw lasers from at least midfield, maybe farther but I seen that far.
