Really not sure I haven’t noticed a new receiver. I’ll try to update you on that on in the second half.

Simpson had a 65 yard opening drive, a kickoff return and a scoop and score to put them up 21 to 7 over Wayne Academy. Wayne did have a 95 yard interception return for a touchdown called back. This has been a pretty sloppy game for the fourth game of the year.

The reason I’m not posting as much is I am unable to keep up with Wayne County as much as I have for more years than I care to share lol. It has nothing to do with wins and losses, who’s coaching or who’s not coaching for the record I like Coach Hankins. My grandson goes to Wayne Academy he has been. But he’s now a Freshman and I do what I should we show our support to him and their team on Friday nights. Doesn’t mean I don’t support WC too it just means I’m not as close to the program as I was. I would rather not post anything than to post something that I don’t know if it’s true or not. I do try to post scores from both WA and WC on Friday nights

That’s how WC got turf we played either Meridian or Louisville the first game of the season and it had rained all week. The field was torn up so bad then we played the other one the next week and finished it off. We had to do something then

I totally agree Slick. We all use to try to set up meetings with one another before games just to put faces and real names instead of screen names to each other. We all built lasting friendships doing that. I remember sitting in the Doctors office with my mom she had just found out she had lung cancer. They were doing a few things and getting ready to start treatments. Oldtiger called and I told him where I was and he asked could he talk to my mom I said sure. They talked and prayed together man things like that you never forget. Tib was about good guy lol he had his opinion and didn’t mind sharing it, but that’s what this site is for. If tib was wrong he would be the first to post a plate of crow and move on. He was the same every time I met him. Even in the WC/WJ rivalry when it was so heated I met several of those guys even tailgated with them. I remember old Sosodude he was a really good guy I believe he moved away. We just don’t have that on this Site anymore. People talk crap most of the time about something they know nothing about. But there’s only a few of us originals here. Heck me and you may have never reconnected if not for this site. Come to find out we were old schoolmates small world. Advice to you younger guys. During all the trash talk try setting up a meeting at the concession stand, the flag pole or wherever. I promise you that it’s worth it you may make some lifelong friends that call and talk with you during some tough times. It really helped me when I lost my mom, my dad and when my wife battled cancer three times and beat it. My friends would call to check on us and talk a little football to escape what we were dealing with for just a few minutes.

Before Wayne County consolidated there were four High Schools. You had Beat Four, Buckatunna, Clara and Waynesboro Central. Now you just have Wayne County High School but you now have five K through Middle Schools in those same schools that operated as high schools. Wayne County Never had more than one superintendent, you have more administrators now than ever, plus you’re keeping up just as many schools. So consolidation doesn’t always save money.

Dub that’s correct on the Quarterback and receiver. That was before Petal got the new stadium WC packed out the old one. I actually loved going to games there because you were on top of the action.
