MSU takes the win 8-7 in the bottom of the 9th. That was a great game to watch, better for MSU fans obviously. Ha

I agree. Ole Miss scored 3 runs on 12 hits with 10 LOB. MSU scored 2 runs on 3 hits with 2 LOB. Typically, when you see a boxscore of 12 hits vs 3 hits... it's a lopsided win.

Ole Miss takes game one 3-2. We'll see who steps up in the next two games, getting a series win is BIGLY for both teams.
-
MSU definitely looks to be the better of the two (OM/MSU) but OM has set the bar very low. I think MSU takes 2 of 3 this weekend.
-
Arkansas took game three 6-4 today. A healthy Hunter Elliot will definitely help, will it be enough?
-
Ole Miss took game two 7-4, that was a much needed win.
-
Arkansas whips Ole Miss 11-2 in game 1.
-
Ark/OM game cancelled tonight. They will play a DH tomorrow starting at 2.
-
Ole Miss definitely has to pick up at least 1 from Arkansas, which won't be easy. Winning 2 would get the season back on track some.
-
UConn continued there dominating tourney run to win the NC.
-
A&M takes the series over Ole Miss with a 5-4 win today. Ole Miss and MSU got out of the winless column this weekend, but 1-8 in SEC play is a pretty big hole to get out of.

Ole Miss FINALLY got out of the winless column with a win over A&M 14-7.
-
OM is now 0-7 in SEC play. I'd like some of that relief B4! Ha

Very nice win for MSU.

This NIT final is a "who cares who wins" game, but it's pretty entertaining.
-
I agree. Wins are wins and losses are losses, but it sure makes a difference if "your team" shows some potential. MSU showed some potential tonight. Either way, MSU has to figure out how to start winning SEC games. (Not a shot at MSU, obviously OM is in the same boat taking on water to sink).

Who is the "they" that should refund? OM/USM/Pearl? It definitely stinks, but who should pay for the fans that paid for this game?
-
I also find it odd, but you surely realize my comment was sarcasm? This game was scheduled to play at Pearl, USM and OM had nothing to do with field conditions.
-
Tobacco lawyers paid off the Ump to call the game before Ole Miss could potentially take the loss. Being rich has advantages. **

Also consider OM's 6 losses were to (current) #3 Florida and #4 Vandy while being competitive. OM still has a path to 14 or 15 SEC wins, but obviously has to start playing better. The next 2 series are AT #21 A&M an hosting #5 Arkansas... so things won't be much easier. IF OM can go 3-3 in those 6, I like their chances of having a decent year. 2-4 will make the hill tougher to climb. 1-5 or 0-6, yikes... it's going to be a long year.
-
OM/MSU both 0-6 in SEC play now. When's the last time that happened?
-
Ha- I was about to post the (almost) same. MSU and OM are both 0-5 in SEC play so far. It's a LONG season and things may well change, but obviously a bad start for both teams.
-
Due to weather, the OM/Florida series will begin tomorrow. Vandy swept Ole Miss last weekend, so I have zero right to poke fun at MSU for that loss vs Vandy tonight. I will say... yeah, that loss was pretty horrible but it's a VERY LONG season... LIPO (Let It Play Out) before gathering pitchforks.

Correction, Andy KeNIT. Kidding aside, good for AK and UAB. I'd like to see him and his team win the NIT and go deep in the NCAAT next year.... as long as it's not at any expense of an Ole Miss loss.

I was expecting Texas but Louisville came to play tonight and eliminated Texas 73-51.
