  1. True, but also... HAD OM beaten Alabama- a loss vs UGA would still have Ole Miss in Atlanta (assuming OM won the next games minus Georgia).
  2. Raiders fired Josh McDaniels. If little brother wants to follow in big brother's footsteps and hire a fired Raiders HC, here's your chance MSU! **
  3. It's POSSIBLE, but just depends on what others do in front of Ole Miss. Ohio State/Michigan winner is definitely in IF the winner has no losses. The winner is still likely in with 1 loss. Texas will stay ahead of Ole Miss with 1 loss, as they should (they DID actually beat Bama). OM MAY get in over a one loss FSU team? MAYBE? Still, FSU has to lose 1 if not 2. Washington has to lose 1, if not 2. Oregon has to lose 1. Add in... Ole Miss has to actually win out for the whole thing to even possibly play out. Oklahoma is currently at #9, 1 spot ahead of Ole Miss. IF OM won out with a win over Georgia, I tend to believe they'd get in over a 1 loss Oklahoma but sure wouldn't argue if they didn't. There's also a scenario where LSU beats Bama while OM/LSU/Bama ends up 7-1 in the West with a tied head to head record between the three. I THINK the tie-breaker would go to opponents from the East which likely favors LSU from rumors I've heard? I haven't really researched that, just repeating.
  4. Say what you want about his temper and antics, helluva coach in his day.
  5. A&M is loaded with talent, they sure haven't played up to the talent level. The line is likely 3 for a good reason- I'll pick Ole Miss simply because it's a home game. I'll go with Kentucky. I'll go with Georgia, I'm hoping Mizzou makes it a great game though. LSU/Bama has a lot of potential to be a very good game. Bama rarely loses 2 regular season games in a season, Bama is the smart pick.
  6. It's possible, but other conferences are facing a similar issue- beating up on each other. I'd be just as surprised if the SEC had 0 teams in the top 4 as I would be the SEC has 2 teams in the top 4 this year.
  7. 1. Ohio State 2. Georgia 3. Michigan 4. Florida State Washington/Oregon are the next two. Others in the SEC: 8. Bama 10. Ole Miss 12. Missouri 14. LSU 17. Tennessee
  8. Defense played very well in the first half for OM. Offense put up 26 points, which is good... but sure messed up at times. That first and goal getting "cute" by putting Pegues in to get a false start was dumb. It was followed up by going even more backwards and luckily getting a FG out of it... very lucky it wasn't a turnover returned for a TD. Putting Pegues back in to take a snap again on the following drive was even dumber. I'm all for letting the big guys having some fun IF/when? the game is late and a blowout. I don't like that crap at all in the first half. Dart made a huge mistake trying to force a pass that went for an INT right before half. Let's hope he learned from that. Wade and Judkins have been very good on offense tonight.
  9. I really wonder what Auburn's record would be today with Nix at QB and Freeze as coach.
  10. Looks like the under bet would have worked after all. I wouldn't have guessed that in the first quarter. State and Auburn both 4-4 now with hopes of 6 wins and a bowl still alive.
  11. Chokelahoma gonna chokelahoma... loses to Kansas.
  12. Get a young Devin Hester/Deion Sanders returning all those kicks, it may be close?
  13. 14-3 Auburn and the first quarter isn't over. Another example of why I do NOT bet on sports. The under SEEMED like a really good bet.
  14. South Carolina drops to 2-6 on the season.
  15. The 3-2 Auburn "win" over MSU will never be forgotten. I don't think this game can possibly be uglier than that one. Karma owes MSU an ugly win this Saturday I suppose. Maybe MSU could get pick more than one safety while Auburn picks up just one? A 4-2 revenge win for MSU?
  16. I don't bet on sports, it's just too unpredictable. I'm very tempted to bet the under on MSU/Auburn... the line is 43.5. This is a tossup game IMO, I wouldn't bet on the winner either way. I just don't see these two teams scoring 44 combined. Now that I've said it, the teams will combine for 100 points or something crazy. Everyone outside of Nashville should pick Ole Miss over Vandy. If history repeats itself, Ole Miss wins while losing a key player to injury... or just loses. I still think Georgia loses a regular season game... Florida wouldn't surprise me but I don't think so. I think it will be one of the next three after this weekend. @ UT is the safest guess. A&M should beat the Cocks long and hard. (Sorry boss) UT/Kentucky is likely the best SEC game of the weekend. I wish this wasn't at the same time as the Ole Miss game, I'll definitely have it on TV2 to semi-watch. I'll pick UT to win. I've picked USM twice this season in an upset and got burned. I'm rooting for USM but picking App State. I'm good with being burned on this pick.
  17. "The honeymoon is over" articles about Freeze at Auburn making the rounds today. I mean, it's his first year and Auburn wasn't stacked with talent when Freeze was hired. 6ish wins was realistic for Auburn preseason, and that's still very much on the table.
  18. Since Enos is gone, will Cletus be hired to replace him? Only the OLDS will understand.
  19. Ugly wins are still wins. Props to Ole Miss and MSU for picking up SEC wins on the road today.
  20. With 2:32 to go in the 3rd Quarter: Auburn is 4/6 passing with 0 (passing) TDs and 1 INT...and this is a tie game.
  21. Ole Miss and Auburn look like two teams trying to lose a game in the first half.
  22. I think it's a fun tradition, but I'm surprised it's allowed. ETA: Isn't smoking "not allowed in the stadium" at all SEC schools?
  23. 4-8 looks like the ceiling for Arkansas right now. Arkansas likely beats FIU to get 3 wins. I don't think they'll beat Mizzou. That leaves @ Florida and vs Auburn... a split in these two would be good for Arkansas.
  24. Missouri all over USCe 24-0 already.
  25. UCF gave Oklahoma all they wanted. Plumlee is the QB and Gus is the coach for UCF.
