A good question for this thread - since expansion in 2001 have any 4 seeds won a football state title ??

THIS IS IT ^^^ Expanding to 4 from a region in 2001 was a money grab and it will stay at 4 from a region for the same reason I'll always be a little bitter about this ... my senior year at Carthage (2000 season) we finished (6-4)(4-2) and were left out in third place only to see the next few seasons of Carthage football teams qualify for postseason with much worse records

I edited my previous post to include his TWTR bio that has Greene County HC included

Dungan was HC in 2020 with King working as OC King is now HC again and was HC in 21

Coach King returned to Greene County, where he is now HC again. Smith brought longtime Vancleave OC Dave Chatham with him to PRCC, after Chatham spent one year on staff with Smith at ECHS. Last season, Wallace and Chatham were Co-OCs at PRCC. Wallace recently left PRCC to be the OC at Holmes, where Wallace's OC from his playing days at EMCC, Marcus Wood, is now HC

I remember this incident and to be fair the Sheriff later recounted the report of gang affiliation and said it was merely a dispute among rival friends - no concrete gang ties could be confirmed

Laurel and Vancleave are currently tied for smallest 5A

I think the new school could be a larger 5A - possibly close to the next cutoff

Statewide Preps Reporter Brandon Shields has broken the story that Magee and Mendenhall will be consolidating schools by 2025 A future Simpson High or Simpson County High on the way ...

I believe base pay for a head football coach in Jackson County (East Central / St Martin / Vancleave) is $70,000 I believe this began the same year all three high schools had turf playing surfaces installed (within last five years - not certain how long it's been)

I'm good friends with Sean since we attended Mississippi College together, his son Madden was a freshman starting QB at Morton in 21 - he will be transferring to Hartfield for the rest of his high school career

Doesn't seem like he stays ANYWHERE very long at all ... just an observation

It's absolutely laughable for you to think a Ryan Higdon coached Raleigh team that was in 3A South State in 21 has so no talent outside of Perkins and is terribly coached - what basis do you have to say that or is that just an agenda ?? Head scratcher !!

Devin Cooper moved on to NW Rankin in 2021

Most recently Pass Christian OC - also a state champion asst coach while at Pearl.

I would be willing to bet a large sum of cash that former MGCCC head coach, USA asst coach and current ECHS asst coach Chad Huff is the next head man at East Central.

From what I've gathered and been told, the next Head Coach at EC is already on staff as an asst

Hope it stokes your ego and makes you feel better as a man calling a teenager pathetic

Oh I totally get that - as I originally answered - the choice is clear

Why wouldn't it be ??
