This had to have been a George Co-Citronelle JV or ninth grade game that was inadvertently posted to varsity schedule. No high school football team will play a Tuesday game between two Friday games.

Ask your beloved football team's coaching staff how much they approve of you posting vital info on Enterprise-Clarke's health and availability for the whole world to see on the Internet. In the current cycle, there are 33 schools in 5A because Laurel and Vancleave turned in the same count and they tied for smallest 5A school. So in a case that two schools have same enrollment number at a dividing line, they would both be included in that class. (Currently 5A Region 2 has 9 teams rather than 8 to make this work)

So Stringer lost to Resurrection (the 1A team), but it was 20-7, I would think that's the matchup you're referring to here. Is it really that far fetched for a well-coached 1A team to defeat a 2A team? Just this last week in MHSAA games, we had two 3A teams defeat 6A teams. It happens. You make this too easy to dissect what you say.

A bad 6A team would not have had the chance to go for 2 and the win in both games vs Laurel and JDC. Those are two ONE point losses. As always, you never know with high school sports, but I expect d'Iberville to make the postseason. Far from a "bad" team.

East Central and West Harrison do not play this week. Region play in 5A begins Friday 09-23-22.

@Tiburon I wanted to report to you that the clock operator official at Friday's Moss Point at Vancleave game did in fact keep track of timeouts used on the scoreboard. See, it can be done. However, I have never, and never do I expect to ever see down and distance kept on the scoreboard.

I do not want to say anything negative about Bilbo - he was a special talent. Vancleave has more positions performing at a higher level of play compared to 2022. My guess about the spell check is when it is used as a surname (from which the community name derived its name) it is spelled as Van Cleave. Only a guess.

I've withheld comment for a few weeks but this year's Vancleave team is playing a much more physical brand of football. Peterson does not shy from contact out of the backfield, the offensive line looks much more polished, and the defense has looked much more fundamentally sound. If they can get last year's 3 wins again vs Long Beach, West Harrison, and Pearl River Central, plus find a way to get to 4 wins by defeating George County or East Central, they have the potential to get in as #4 and I would not be shocked to see a #3 but that's not as likely. 2020's EC loss was by two with an EC tackle on the 1 yard line as time expired and 2021 was a 7 point loss. Vancleave gets a home game vs EC this year for first time in 3 years. Can't wait to see how it all shakes out for sure.

You really need to stop making asinine statements like this that I highlighted. This implies that until whatever point that your "backups" entered the game, that Lake had not gained a single yard. Please get a grip and get serious. And no, it's not going to be very hard for a top Division 1 recruit from Raleigh to run on your defense.

It's about players getting reps in JV for me, winning helps, sure, but it's about development.
