Reynolds was a problem and needed to go before the 24 season. You dont do the things he was doing or saying to kids and keep your job. That’s all I’m saying about that,

You know who else didn’t. The defensive end., middle lb, outside lb, nor corner on the right side of wests defense. Laurel saw something and kept doing it and west never tried to change anything to stop it. I’m so mad I could pour kerosene on wests new turf and ignite it. west had as many penalty yards as Laurel had 3rd quarter offensive yards. Which is a lot. How west did not get the safety when Laurel, facing 1st and 20 from their 5, qb scrambled into endzone and looked to step out of the back of it, was touched by 3 west defenders, and somehow got them out to 15? Then in second down hit to the original line. Then in 3rd get 2 yards. Seemingly sending out punt unit then, not, because down market said “3” and bust open a 80 yard td on what should have been a punt.

West defense absolutely sucks. They are no threat in 6A at all. the officials did give Laurel 2 2nd downs and 2 3rd downs with no flags or anything thrown on drives that Laurel scored. One would have stopped the drive. but wests defensive defense sucks balls. Scott Pierson should have remained retired. .

Laurel 56 west jones 42. then on kickoff west didn’t touch it Laurel picked it up

Laurel 49 West jones 42 our defense does suck. So do these officials. But mostly our defense

west has never scored 40 against Laurel. Also why did Laurel get 2 3rd down plays with no penalty thrown?

WJ 35 Laurel 27 with exception of laurels kickoff return WJ has a 15 yard penalty on every Laurel scoring drive.

WJ 35 Laurel 21 Halftime.

Laurel fumbles on first offensive play west jones recovers. WJ first play 35 yard td pass WJ 6 Laurel 0

Northeast Jones 21 South Jones 36 10:11 remaining. Nej had 2 good looking drives where qb gave the ball away

South jones had 3rd and about 24 from inside their own 15. Rb took handoff running left, broke a tackle around the hash, spun and went all the way to right sideline and untouched from first missed tackle went over 80 yards to basically end this game. Northeast Jones 15 South Jones 36 2:35 left in 3rd

NEJ just got hosed. South Jones first and goal from 1 46 seconds till half. Looked like rb gets across line but officials say no. The clock stopped while South took 20 seconds to get play in. 2nd down they clearly stuffed. Should be halftime. South player goes down after lining up. Clock stops. After South scores. 2.9 second left nej returns kickoff to SJ 12 almost made it. NEJ 15 South Jones 22 Halftime.

NEJ 15 SJ 14. Mid 2nd

NEJ 15 SJ 9. Early 2nd

Northeast jones at south jones. The guys that stream Laurel games are there. Rudy&jayb on Facebook.

Northeast Jones. 9 South Jones 7 2:09 left in 1st q

My oldest step daughter lives right there where you go from Scott, to newton, to Mashona in like a mile stretch of road. Just east of sebastapol. We had this talk about a month ago where my grandkids would go. Maps have them just inside the corner of neshoba county but car tags are newton and they are about 6 minutes from sebastapol.

I have never paid much attention to West Point as they are not a team my team plays regularly. So all my info on them comes from here or reading various Facebook posts. And I remember that not many from WP were happy with Morgan being hired. I think most wanted another guy but I do not know name. I think it was a defensive coach. Someone posted a picture of him leaning against a tractor tire or something,!

2003-2014 this place was hopping.

If I’m wrong in this I will accept all the smoke after. WJ wins by 20. Scott Pierson isn’t one to run up the score intentionally and I expect him to take his foot off the gas if west has comfortable lead. that in my opinion will be what keeps the score respectable. But I 110% think this is laurels least talented team in some few years. They graduated a lot of important pieces from last year and don’t have the athletes to fill the gaps. There have been seasons, like the last 3, where they honestly weren’t very good, but thanks to 5A south being what it is Laurel was able to piece together a couple a run to state game and a run to a second south state sandwiched around a 2 win season. This team won’t have the level of talent as any of those.

Laurel was trashed by graduation as much as no one wants to admit. I don’t think they got much of anything this year. Yes a win by low score would feel a bit discouraging. But we beat Terry 2-0 a year we win state, so.

I been waiting on someone else to start a WJ/Laurel thread, ideally a Laurel fan if they aren’t in hiding yet, so I won’t look too much like a home when I have WJ winning that game big. Possibly with a running clock.

I couldn’t care less bout the Starkville/Oak grove game but I would find it funny if oak grove won it.

So you think the current situation in Brookhaven is similar to what Corey reynolds walked into at west jones slick?

Absolutely.
