I’m not sure he really cares. Most WJ fans I talk too are concerned on if he’s looking at it as he’s still trying to make a good impression for his supposed dream job at petal when Boyles hangs it up again. Or if he’s just there to bid his time.

West should win based on overall talent level alone. But that defense has some massive holes plus a tendency to take off for an half. Terry from my understanding can score some points. Plus the background stuff going on inside the WJ program. Terry has a legit shot at winning.

Doesn’t matter if you have a ton of athletes if you have trash coaching like they have had for years. Even Carter in his previous coaching stints wasn’t exactly lighting it up. But he’s far better than Heidelberg has had the last few decades.

Unless someone was arrested for weed or alcohol on school grounds then MHSAA can’t impose penalties on them for that. Otherwise that could turn into a legal challenge to the MHSAA and they won’t want that. I cod see tailgating being shut down.

Surprised it hasn’t happened honestly.

Had they not been mired with horrible coaching for the last decade it more they would likely have several titles and would have top 3-4 team in their class every year. They could be the West Point of their class. Tons of talent for a small school and it will remain as such till a larger school takes a chance on hiring away Daryl Carter. And even then they would have to whiff on the next coaching hire. Or the state legislature passes the law allowing kids to pick and choose schools and most of them gets recruited away by jones county schools.

I think the numbers from Leland are being slightly exaggerated as well. I been searching online for a bit and saw 4 died there and it was not on school campus.

Drugs very rampant there. Very, very rampant. I have several customers from the area and have been in a few houses up that way due to my work over the years and I have seen some things. I knew 2 people that were killed in shootings after bad drug deals at the gas station about 23 years ago.

I hate laurel. I hope they keep earnest on staff for years.
