Not defense, special teams. They have put us in some horrible positions the last several years. As far as defense they don’t believe in stopping the run.

HHS also got a corner from WC and a dang good WR to pair with Tristen Keys. Right now the only weakness is special teams, which could be fixed this season.

I used to disagree about having soft games first time out but over the years I’ve been proven that it’s not always a good recipe.

They are, but my definition of beating Petal is dominating them. I kind of think there’s a big difference between winning the game and beating them down. But Boyles at the helm means something. I’m actually quite on edge about playing them.

I do get the sentiment with Hattiesburg I really do and it’s warranted. But I stand by what I say. Hattiesburg will lose to Petal and go 5-5 or go undefeated. You have Petal, OG is OG, Laurel anything can happen, George County and then West Jones. As for Pascagoula I’m just still salty about last year. Nothing would make me more happy than putting them out of the playoffs at their place contrary to the round.

Hattiesburg 5-5 or 10-0 West Jones 8-2 or 10-0 Eh, who cares about regular season. Give me Pascagoula first round at Pascagoula.

Yep. 2016, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2022, 2023 all years I thought we had more talent than displayed. Also, the coast teams for some odd ball reason have our number.

2 years in a row the season end on a sour note. 3 years ago I said within 3 years I think Hattiesburg reaches the championship game, that interpretation was before 3 years. This is the third year. I know WJ & Picayune has been the apex predator but losing to Vancleve and Pascagoula in the first is like someone smiling at you and stick a knife in the kidney at the same time. In what I believe to be Tony Vance last year before he moves on, I hope luck is on our side.
