Hattiesburg returns a lot also maybe not as much as WJ from a legit starting standpoint, I don’t think it matters about who’s all coming back much because what matters is who’s pulling the trigger. In that case I think just speaking on Hattiesburg and West Jones exclusively I think both teams are a QB away from pay dirt, that’s what has me excited.

6A- I think OG is the clear front runner to represent the south, having some continuity from the previous year makes a whole difference and a legit backups to plug in puts them in position to mirror or be better than last season. I do think 6a south will be a tighter race than last year. I hope hburg is the only blemish on og schedule. 6a north it’s just hard to count Oxford out. I’ve done it the last two years and I won’t this year. ————— 5A- I’m not so sure about West Jones just yet, depends on their QB situation. I personally think a team out of Region 3 will represent the south. I’m really excited about Hattiesburg QB situation, young freshman with a last name everyone will recognize, a high ceiling and confidence. I can almost guarantee who ever has the best qb out of the top 4 teams in region 3 will represent the south. 5A north- I think WP is the front runner to represent the north but not by a large margin. ————— 4A- I agree with the Louisville vs. Columbia matchup that’s one I want to see. I think Columbia could knock down Poplarville twice. Coach Bilderback will have to tweak up his style and let the team let loose. Winning is not the issue, winning the big games are. ——— 3A- I can see Raleigh or JDC representing the south. North- no opinion ————- 2A- No opinion 1A- ————— The talent is still in taylorsville. What make you think that any of the other teams you overlooked won’t be better this year also? In case you didn’t know. Hattiesburg was wayyy younger than some people think last year. If you think they will regress seeing as you never mention them the slightest your wrong.

Natchez lost to Brookhaven and South Jones down the stretch last season. Not impressive at all. There two wins come from two teams that aren’t good and the other 3 were due to covid forfeit. They’re gonna have to smack either Hattiesburg , West Jones, Wayne County or Laurel in the mouth for me to even think about taking them serious.

Meridian used to be pretty good

I think in all four teams for sure break in new qbs. WJ, Hattiesburg, Laurel and WC if y’all go another direction. I think it will be a pretty even tug between the four. Region 3 will be outright tough especially with Brookhaven and Florence in the mix. South Jones & Natchez ehh, we’ll see.

I can guarantee you that if it’s a dark horse in that 5a group it’s not Natchez it’s Hattiesburg.
