This is facts!!! He definitely applied at WC and I also heard Pascagoula. I was shocked he didn’t get that Pascagoula job. I believe he’s a good coach

Solid. However, 2A is Heidleberg and I don't think it's close. I agree that KC will be there but the buses will be cranked at halftime.

GC is a grind it out, run the clock, shorten the game offense. A lot of the runs against WJ were QB keeps. If your defense will key on the QB and stop him, y'all should be fine. He is tough though and runs hard. Hattiesburg offense needs to make the most of their possessions early. GC not built to come from behind. and yes WJ has Forest Hill away this week, and after the Hattiesburg game, Jim Hill away. We will certainly know the way to Jackson by then.

Correct

I remember that. Something like every single starter and almost half the second string were seniors in 02.

He interviewed at Pascagoula last year and had applied at Wayne County before removing himself when that fiasco was heating up and Hathorn threatened the board with a lawyer for firing Hankins.

TX finally plays a whole game and wins by 6 If Taylor and Bothwell play, State by 4. If not, OK by at least 2 TDs LSU close Bama, KY and TN big Vegas usually knows what’s up though and they have SC favored over TN. That’s crazy after TN just dominated Bama.

D'Iberville went from State Champs in 2002 to 0-9 in 2003.

2010 Ackerman was pretty close. And then made 3rd round in 2011

Im sure it was culture shock to him when he got to Hattiesburg and saw how things are also ran around the state. For those who dont know, he came from one of the most successful high school programs in the country and probably a top 5 program in Georgia. (Valdosta High school)

Yep! I’m going to say at West Point they have to do something. Have they ever been 0-7? Has anyone ever gone from state runner up to 0-7?

If lacey leave hattiesburg he leaves Mississippi unless it's a job at the next level. It was always a 3-5 year plan with him and honestly if he wouldve won state last year he would have left. He doesn't like how sports are ran in Mississippi (he's on record saying that). Alabama or Georgia is ultimately where he wants to be.

Trap Game! With West Jones looming next week this one scares me. West Jones can look ahead all they want to. They have either Jim Hill or Forest Hill this week.

Hattiesburg and GC has shaped up to be a huge game. Lacey can't lose to GC or things could get rocky for him

He was applying and interviewing for jobs last spring.

Now that's more like it LOL. I knew there had to be somebody out there.

Texas is a weird team to reconcile because I totally agree they are tending the wrong way but at the same time they have wins over Ohio State and at Tennessee. So nothing seems to be off the table with them.

Where does Lacey go?? Hard to imagine he leaves a great situation like he has right now.

That's not all that talks. Some stuff stepped in talks too. Laurel's streets are brick also If Hattiesburg happens to be doing a search my gut tells me they will try to get T.V. back

If that's the move they will make it will be clear immediately when the season ends. . Him being that close and available to talk to it will already be done. All Unle Rukus has to do is step down and announce it

I agree with that. Very valid for todays game, too

Hattiesburg doesn’t necessarily pay better than Wayne County. And even if it does, there are other factors that I’m not touching on that could drive some to not want to take certain jobs.

No Laurel is Brick Stadium. I cannot believe you would compare Madison to Hattiesburg/ Laurel when it comes to the street juice and smell

Money talks

It definitely would be a good fit. Personally, if I was PRCC - I would go after Webster at ECCC. He is a young, hungry coach that has done a relatively good job of recruiting to a place that traditionally has been tough to recruit to. He has had some real success there as well (led them to State Title game in 2024.) At PRCC, he would have more resources to lure in talent and a better overall place to live.
