Picayune at Vancleave.

Man @Tiburon I really don't know why you're being so obtuse about our defense.  Poor attempt at humor to me.   They've improved from 2021 and played to an outstanding second half shutout against Hancock.  Vancleave's offensive line has also improved.  One part I love about football is you never know exactly how a game will unfold until it does.  Hoping for a good clean game and everyone walks off the field healthy.

I agree with all of this.

If Vancleave can slow down Picayune’s offense, it’ll probably be a 28-7 type ballgame.  If they can’t it’ll probably be like 42-7.  We’ve consistently allowed 7 points to every team we’ve played this season, so that’s where the 7 comes from.  It’ll be interesting to see how these two teams matchup with one another because these predictions could be way off as well.

Vancleave has not played a team with a power running game. Picayune pulls away in the second half. Picayune's real test will come against a feisty East Centrol Hornets team.

While I wouldn't call it a power running game, Hancock totally went away from their passing game in second half vs Vancleave and ran the ball consistently and Vancleave consistently shut it down with a second half shutout.  So we shall see.

I would be leery about comparing Hancock's running game to Picayune's. However stranger things have happened and that's why they play.

No comparison was made.  I stated up front it's "not a power running game."  I simply stated Vancleave's defense shut down the run for a half of football.  100% different animal this Friday.  Looking forward to the challenge.

heh i am glad you guys are all the ones making predictions and not me.

A) is this the toughest team Picayune has faced this year?

B) Is this the toughest team Vancleave has faced this year?

Vancleave would struggle against Gulfport, Diberville, JDC, and Poplarville. So to answer question A that would be a no.

No comment on question B but that is why they play the games. We will know around 9:30 Friday night.

If Vancleave played the teams that Picayune has this year they would be 1--4.
