The fact that he has petal in top ten makes this entire poll irrelevant. They beat a banged up Hattiesburg team and a bad Brookhaven team. They will get rolled by Columbia and Laurel. He may have watched Ocean Springs game this week against Hattiesburg if he has the time to do that kind of research. Ocean Springs offense didn’t have it together with bad snaps and missed catches along with some offsides penalties that hurt them throughout the game. Tiger defense was scrappy but I didn’t see too much from Hattiesburg. Winning 35-6 with everything that went wrong Friday night still says to me Ocean Springs will be a tough matchup come playoff time and should easily be a top 10 teams in the state overall much less just in 6A. Also putting Laurel as the number #2 5A team in the state makes me wonder if there’s any research done at all considering they just allowed 42 points to be scored against them from a D’Iberville team that is supposedly on a down year. And yes Maxpreps is based on points scored and not strength of schedule.
