I don't know the guy, but if that is the case that is going to be a tough task. They also didn't stick with their plan of hiring a coach with at least 5 years of HC experience. Mitchell will be a great head coach was offensive coordinator at Pearl Pearl Community College when they won National Championship in 2004 and won several state championships with Tim Hatten. Was Offensive Coordinator for Picayune when they won State Championships in 2011 and 2013. Looks like he's done ok at Oak Grove ,too. It’s a bad idea to publicly state that you’re going to hire a guy with HC experience. If that guy doesn’t materialize, or a top assistant blows you away, it looks publicly like you settled for less. Are you sure he was OC at picayune in 2011 and 2013? Yes he started as an assistant at PRCC early on before he has gotten all his degrees, I think he has his Masters now. I am 100% sure he was Offensive Coordinator at Picayune 2011 and 2013 State Titles. As it is anywhere you need some players and if he gets a few players then Germantown will be fine.
