Could they not host the graduation at jones or maybe like the Hattiesburg convention center ?

Oh I know. Everybody knows his name because of his reputation. The guy knows football, but I think he’s literally been fired from every single job he’s ever had almost. I cannot believe the superintendent is even entertaining him considering the drama surrounding the Superintendent himself

Personally, I would be willing to take the heat from those moms. Raleigh is finally getting a new football stadium renovation. They should be happy about that. No matter what you do, you aren’t going to please everybody. I get pretty aggravated at the voters in smith county, because they only show up to board meetings when something happens that has immediate or short term impact, and then they get all mad and want to make their presence known. But where are they at the rest of the meetings? The board meets the first Monday of every month… Why aren’t they coming to all the other meetings? If they only knew the shenanigans that the superintendent is able to get away with, stuff that has long term effects, they would be at ALL the board meetings. That’s how you hold him accountable. They absolutely hate it when the public shows up to these meetings, because then they have to actually answer to them and they can’t let the superintendent bully them around. But when you come to a meeting, most of the time there are just a handful of people they are even there. Sometimes maybe not even but one or two people. If people want accountability, they have to start holding their board members accountable.

I was told he applied as well. How many years experience does Adrian have? I like him. Really good guy.

He was the DC at Newton for 3 or 4 years before going to Bay Springs. They went to playoffs each year at Newton.

No they gave them 3 choices to vote on. Bad thing is graduation packets were printed months ago. Now the date will have to change if ties at Tvile or Mize. Usually 2 dates with 2 schools the same night like 6 and 7:30.

Well… we will see how it goes. I’m surprised hillman and the board is willing to take that risk. I actually like Jimbo and think he’s a good coach. I really do. But the guy has been fired from every single job he’s had. Just seems risky to me

Nowell will just use Taylorsville as a stepping stone ( and to maybe  build his character  back?) like every other coach has! No I don't blame them ,money is the name of the game and a chance to coach at a bigger classification school also has that appeal!

This coaching search has taken forever . At this point , I wouldn’t be shocked if they hired co-head coaches . My vote would be on “the fabulous free birds “ Micheal P.S. Hayes and Jimmy “Jam” Garvin” would be excellent there !

I just heard a rumor that will probably definitely affect the hire. Sounds like the super may not be getting his way

Heard the super may have angered some board members and they don’t want to play ball with him. We will see. He usually always gets his way.

Arrington is up his tail too.  He was his right hand man for awhile.  He could kept him out but didn't don't know bout the new man but he probably don't.

He did vote to reappoint him, which disappointed a lot of his voters. But they have butted heads plenty of times. The two board members that do whatever he tells them to do are from Raleigh and Tville. But from what I hear, the super may not be as secure as he thought he was. A lot of stuff has happened in the last several days that has muddied the waters. We will see how it turns out.

The Raleigh guy is from White Oak but has West Raleigh and Shady Grove (Mize) in his beat. Freddie has the town of Mize in his beat. A good man. Jay is probably a good man and comes from a good family. I feel like Jay will be the deciding vote. I may be wrong but Taylorsville man not be on board with Nowell.

Arrington voted to keep Hillman that all you need to know and Hillman was in Covington Co where he from too.  Covington Co principal at Taylorsville.  Smell what I'm cooking?

His daddy was from Collins. His mom from White Oak originally.
