The rest of the country would have an org**m if that were to happen. The conference is definitely a bit down this year so it is not out of the realm of possibilities. It's possible, but other conferences are facing a similar issue- beating up on each other. That is if Michigan and Ohio State only have one loss among the two of them. The Georgia/OM and LSU/Bama games could make things interesting. Georgia also has a tough game with Missouri this weekend. It would be unlikely, but I believe you could have LSU, Bama, OM, Georgia, and Missouri all with one loss at the end of the regular season. Mizzou, Ole Miss, and even Georgia Tech are all better than most expected. Tennessee is pretty much what many expected (good but a step down from last year). Florida State is for sure the team with the path of least resistance. No ranked teams left on their regular season schedule and then would just need to beat someone like Louisville in the conference title game. The most straight forward path is undefeated Georgia, FSU, Washington, and Michigan/Ohio State. But I don’t think Washington finishes undefeated, and potentially multiple in that group loses at least once. Ohio State/Michigan winner is definitely in IF the winner has no losses. The winner is still likely in with 1 loss. Texas will stay ahead of Ole Miss with 1 loss, as they should (they DID actually beat Bama). OM MAY get in over a one loss FSU team? MAYBE? Still, FSU has to lose 1 if not 2. Washington has to lose 1, if not 2. Oregon has to lose 1. Add in... Ole Miss has to actually win out for the whole thing to even possibly play out. Oklahoma is currently at #9, 1 spot ahead of Ole Miss. IF OM won out with a win over Georgia, I tend to believe they'd get in over a 1 loss Oklahoma but sure wouldn't argue if they didn't. There's also a scenario where LSU beats Bama while OM/LSU/Bama ends up 7-1 in the West with a tied head to head record between the three. I THINK the tie-breaker would go to opponents from the East which likely favors LSU from rumors I've heard? I haven't really researched that, just repeating. True but it also represents a great opportunity… to be the best you have to beat the best. This A&M game though first for Ole Miss has me worried.
