Seems like his arrogance at play calling cost them this season. Is Jeremy McClain on the hot seat as well? An empty stadium and meaningless football being played in Hattiesburg every year since he has been there. If new president Dr Joe Paul was smart he would find and commit every dollar available to football. Student enrollment is directly proportional to football success at D1 schools down south. I saw that man (Dr. Joe Paul) standing down on the court yesterday before the game. I recognized the face, but that's who it was. Dawg83 Posted October 30, 2023 Share Posted October 30, 2023 I honestly don’t know the solution for USM. They’re in a really tough spot in football. I thought Hall would be just what they needed and it hasn’t worked out so far. I don’t know that a quick fix is possible right now. There’s a case to be made for going all in on basketball and baseball and trying to make your name in those sports. They need the school to commit some hard dollars to athletic facilities. No reason why in 2023 they still don’t have an indoor practice facility. USM’s budget is the second smallest in the Sun Belt. Even in that league they’re having to try and do more with less. Won’t touch him with a 50 foot pole until we get some finality with the whole court case.
