Maybe I am off base there. I'm pretty sure corinth has a lower figure than previous so i doubt they go up from 4A to 5A. I agree on byhalia and rosa fort dropping from 4A to 3A but Ripley sure thinks they drop to 3A also and mooreville seems to want to drop to 3A. I still think Booneville will be at or near the 3A to 4A line. North Tippah will be a 3A school starting in august of 27 but I'm told that most of the current admin at walnut and falkner still have no idea what their new role will be after the consolidation. Also , Myrtle sure thinks they are dropping from 2A to 1A. Edited Wednesday at 10:38 PM by pancho

I anxiously await Up or down 15 students i can see due to transfers, dropouts, homeschooling, going to private schools, failing 8th graders, promoting juniors from 11th to 12th grade, etc. But 124 plus for Lafayette that's alot of students moving in, failing 11th grade, etc. And don't get me wrong i can see parents to Oxford area, enrolling their students at Ole Miss , letting children live at home while attending college and have maybe 1 or 2 other children that fit into the 9th thru 11th grades. I know they do it because a Nurse high up at UMC moved to Starkville for her son to live at home while he attended MSU and she got a job at Oktibbeha hospital. I worked with her husband before he left for another job as salesman. Something similar to what Meridian coach is doing now.

You think they would all go 4? or possibly 3. That cut line is going to be very interesting for the middle classes. Could see a lot of movement compared to the last reclass. St Stanislaus and St Patrick numbers will be important especially St Stanislaus once their numbers are doubled.

According to Lafayette's accountability rating they have to have people moving in to work on the battery plant in Marshall County and Ole Miss purposes. ccbulldog
that's 225 teams playing football. Should be broke down like this: 6A - 36 teams - 4 divisions of 9 teams 5A - 36 teams - 4 divisions of 9 4A - 36 teams - 4 divisions of 9 3A - 36 teams - 4 divisions of 9 2A - 36 teams - 4 divisions of 9 1A - 45 teams - 6 divisions of 7 or 8 teams This makes too much sense! Well per the director 7 classes was needed to increase excitement. I guess having 5 team regions and only one of those teams not make the playoffs accomplishes that. If your not winning your not excited anyway. I agree something different needs to be done for excitement but not at the state. The individual school has created excitement within their sports. Maulybe its me but u am not easily excited just more serious minded.

I sense a tad of sarcasm here.........I also have a sense of we wouldn't be in this situation with the multiplier were it not for the said director.......... Businesses make decisions every say. Some bad some good some right some wrong according to whom you speak with. If you make rules years ago you should have been going by tge rules every 2 years during reclassification. So I do wonder if St Andrew's, St Patrick, Sacred Heart, TCPS, among others not named St Stanislaus or OLA were never being multiplied by 1.5. Those 2 should be mad if they were being doubled. Maybe the multiplier should be the same is the reason the lawyers said let's wait and study the case. And Booneville will be mad at PCS if they both get stuck in 3A or 4A together. Rebel Bert
Just my opinion but I am beginning to think some schools up north turned in lower numbers hoping to push Noxabee and others south to give themselves a better chance at making it to Stare next year.I AM not sure its going to work but we will see.
