Old Golfer
Why has this game been canceled on 10/31? They are having a community wide pep rally and senior recognition on Nov 6th instead.
Chunky6617
To avoid injury going into the playoffs. A pretty dumb reason, IMO
doyouevencoachbro
In their defense look at Noxubee right now with all of their injuries.

That’s literally the risk of every single game you play. If they already had a ton of injuries currently, I may could see that. But heck why not use the game as an opportunity for the JV for both teams to play?

Didn't say I agreed with the decision, just saying I understand the rational for it. If that is the reason they canceled it.

Reason I ask is because I am hearing that Houston is the team that pulled out of this game and not CC Edited to say I see what Robbie Faulk tweeted and that is just wild Edited Thursday at 12:11 AM by wpgreenwave51

MSSportsGuy
From the looks of it this isn't a region game as Houston is 4A and CC is 3A. I will beat my dead horse again. Too many classes with too few teams in a region leaves some schools scrambling to play a full 10 game schedule. While that's not necessarily bad, wouldn't it be better all around to have fewer classes with larger regions, say even 7 teams, if the plan is for 4 teams to make the playoffs? Yes, the gap between the top and bottom of the old 6A was large but there were other ways to address that rather than adding another class, spreading out a small pool of schools again, especially considering consolidation will continue to reduce the overall number of total members. Also under no circumstances should more than half the teams in a division make the playoffs. 8 teams per division with 4 making playoffs is the perfect size. Rebel Bert
I would propose: 7A 24 6A 24 5A 24 4A 24 3A 48 2A 48 1A
MSSportsGuy
I'd propose: 6A: 24 5A: 24 4A: 48 3A: 48 2A: 48 1A: whatever is left That's still just 6 teams in a region for 4A to 2A so one more region game and still 4 teams making the playoffs. The enrollment differences are pretty small between the classes after the top layer.

Choctaw was going to win the game, plus their chances of repeating has sky rocketed with Noxubee's issues.
