NoWammies
I was born in LA. Spent half my life in LA. Remember my dad screaming at the tv as one of the bag on the head Saints fans. To be honest I’m basically a teenage Ole Miss fan by heart because I grew up a LSU fan with a dad that graduated there and a cousin who was a bad arse RB there Jacob Hester. Wife an Ole Miss fan, I live in Oxford and attended Cal and LA Tech so when in Rome.
Dawg83
I’ve been a Saints fan since about 2002 (pre-Brees) but my attention has definitely waned since Brees retired. It’s unfortunately been a slow fade to the bottom and the hard reset still hasn’t happened yet. Maybe soon.

I remember going to Saints games (circa 1993) when I was 5 or 6 years old and Jim Mora was coaching them and Bobby Hebert was on the bench. They were bad then, so it's like things haven't changed at all.

Post 93 they were still a .500 team rebuilding a defense that basically lost the Dome Patrol which is arguably one of the best LB groups in NFL history. Since then we’ve been a team that goes on a run for a few years then digresses for a few years. That’s what we’re in now. Yes it looks a lot more bleak. Unfortunately I don’t think we’re going to see any improvement until we get some new blood in front office positions. All I know is we better not waste our 1st round pick this next draft getting Nussmeier just because his dad is the OC. Our biggest problem has been getting out of the red when it comes to salary cap which we are now.
DrownInEtown
Saints are without a doubt the worst financial managers in the league. Instead of just trying to tank and relieve the cap situation they just want to keep patching it by restructuring contracts every year or throwing money away at players like Taysom Hill, Derek Carr or a 35 year old Cam Jordan. They’re paying the price now But the good news is you’ll probably end up with Ty Simpson pretty soon Edited October 7, 2025 by DrownInEtown
